and submit it to College Board at the end of my junior year. This year, I study these art styles in more detail as I take art history. I enjoy art history immensely, and plan to pursue more studies within the subject at college. Over the past two summers, I had the fortunate opportunity to work at a military youth center in Virginia Beach; I was in charge of supervising and interacting with children age’s five to twelve. My experience with these children allowed me to gain valuable social skills as I dealt with solving the problems the children had, interacting and answering the questions the parents had, and respectfully solving any problems I had with my coworkers. Many times I was put in charge of taking inventory when a shipment of food came in and cataloging the food we were running low on. During my freshman, sophomore, and junior years, I was fortunately able to participate in the hickory color guard and winter guard. These two activities permitted me to gain priceless team experience and cooperation. Although I was not friends with every girl on the team, we were able to work together civilly and I would not trade that experience with anything in the world. Sadly, I was unable to partake in winter guard my junior year or either one my senior year due to financial issues.
