Leonard Cooper Charter School is a K-12 school with approximately 1,000 students. The school wants to develop a local area network that meets the needs of the school now and is scalable for the future. There have been numerous complaints about the speed and reliability of the network, especially since a new addition to the building was added a few years back.…
I still can recall the feeling of pure unadulterated fear, and even thinking about it now gives me that sense of dread that has become all too familiar. Every first day was slightly different, but they all had the same effect on me, the uncomfortable feeling of being on the chopping block. In four years, I have experienced the feeling of brand new faces staring at me with harsh, judgemental eyes 4 times, something most high schoolers have to endure only once, if at all. However, these four different educational institutions have brought more than just scholarly concepts into my mind. They have each bent and contorted me in ways that have forced me to learn to become inure. Each transfer required me to adapt and learn to make friends with people who were not…
When to date the start of the history of the United States is debated among historians. Older textbooks start with thearrival of Christopher Columbus in 1492 and emphasize the European background, or they start in 1600 and emphasize the American frontier. In recent decades American schools and universities typically have shifted back in time to include more on the colonial period and much more on the prehistory of the Native peoples.[1][2]…
During the 1900’s, the United States tried to force assimilation of the Native Americans into American society. Native American children were sent to boarding school to gain an education and civilize them based on white American standards. When they were sent to off-reservation schools boys were taught agricultural procedures and manual arts, while the girls were taught domestic skills. Native American tribes all around the United States were conflicted on whether they should send their children or not to off-reservation schools due to them losing their culture and way of life by Native American standards.…
The only way to get better at certain things is by doing them over and over. I feel as this applies to writing. In writing workshop we wrote a lot. So obviously I think that I became a better writer. Mainly because this semester I wrote as much essays as I did my freshman and sophomore year. During this class I changed some of my ways of writing because I didn’t like how it was. It also helped me see my strong and weak spots in writing. I can leave this class with tips for other students and with things that help me write better. This class is writing workshop and I will leave this class with more writing skill than I had in the beginning of the year.…
To start with, I appreciate your accounts you have provided, regarding your experience you have encountered while attending Liberty University, as a psychology undergraduate. Also, your illustration of Harris, provides powerful confirmation, regarding exercising the mind. However, I diligently read your thoughts about comprehending the theories of Algebra and not being able to clench the information. My reply would be, give it all to God and allow Him to use you. And, by talking to Him, you are developing a personal relationship with Him. What is more, Jesus desires your attention. For that reason, applying these techniques will assist with your fears of Algebra and enable you to understand the course. Do you agree? Lastly,…
I completed every assigned task, and ensured that all correspondence (formal/informal) with our customers was performed in a professional and timely manner. Positively represented USACE in more than 150 construction and design meetings with contractors, customers, and USACE personnel. I fully supported the command's SHARP program and fostered an environment that supports personnel respect and…
I’d like to discuss two things in my additional essay (1) My undergraduate GPA and (2) A few gaps in my work experience. First and foremost, I want to talk a little about Bits Pilani and how Indian schools approach undergraduate education.…
The reason I choose APUS was because I was looking to pursue my degree with the luxury of flexibility. By flexibility, I mean simply time. I know college could be a scary decision, more high school with overdue papers and stress, I’ll pass. This was because the only scope on college I had were the constant reminders of tons of useless work that goes unnoticed. The idea of being in a classroom so large the professor has no Idea I exist. I know what you’re thinking, why not a community college? Well, community college would have been great, if I had the funds. This leaves me with a loss of words as well as ways to continue my education, or so I thought. I was looking for help and my mother asked me a simple question that I thought was ridiculous.…
According to the latest census, 9 million people identify as being mixed-race. With the cultural diversity of America growing rapidly each year, students who used to worry about fitting in are now trying to find ways to stand out. I'm very proud to represent the small, landlocked country of Tajikistan that most of my American friends know little to nothing about. But, I'm even prouder to embrace a future full of success and promise as I'm determined to make my own version of the American dream a reality when I get to college.…
Going to Harford community college has prepared me for the responsibilities and work of a four-year college. I not only proved I had the academic integrity by achieving presidents list every semester, but also was invited to join the honor society, Phi Theta Kappa. Knowing I am capable of accomplishing high academic success inspires me to continue my college education. When I transfer, I plan to work just as hard to earn straight A's and to further prove I am capable of being a veterinarian. Continuing my education would provide wonderful opportunities and would be a great life- experience. Delaware is the right decision for me because it provides everything I want and hope to achieve.…
Simply put, I had no baggage with these people; I did not have to account for any actions of the past. As I lugged my bags up to the fourth floor of the Georgetown LXR dormitory for the start of the JSA Summer School, I imagined the people I was going to meet: my roommate, my floor-mates, and my classmates. Just before I entered my room, I saw a student walking out of the room across from mine. With a tremor in my voice, I introduced myself to him, shook his hand, then retreated to my room. That evening, we met for the first time as an RA group and introduced ourselves to each other. For the first time in my life, I introduced myself as ‘AP,’ my nickname, rather than ‘Apurv,’ my given name. I was relieved after our introductions were finished,…
When I first learn about the Quarter Plus Program, I know it is going to be challenging. However, I am excited to solve it like a puzzle and make some friends before school starts. This can ensure my goal of graduating in four years without struggling too much during my freshman year. Furthermore, I know that low-division classes are highly impacted and I want to avoid them as much as possible since they might affect my academic performance in the future. The Quarter Plus Program gives me the opportunity to do so. In addition, I want to use my summer vacation wisely and going to the Quarter Plus Program can help me schedule my time well. I do not want my parents to worry too much about my college education and having a head start can ease their…
My friends call me a history buff. I like to learn many unique facts about different countries and time periods. Because of this, I elected to take numerous AP history classes. Currently, I am taking one of my favorite classes, human geography, or the study of how humans interact with each other and the earth. This class, among my other history classes, inspired me to pursue a career in international relations, focusing on politics. I love the subtle, and drastic, differences between cultures.…

Summer is the time of year where you can go to bed whenever you want to. You can stay up late and not have to worry about going to school the next day. I have learned many things this summer. Barely a month and half in of summer and I have learned so many interesting things in summer school. The things that I learned in summer school are very useful tool for when I become a junior and a senior.…
