Throughout Shakespeare’s play, Romeo has demonstrated his short temper, imprudent actions, and multiple acts of shallowness. Which results in the audience seeing how he is at fault for the tragic ending of the lovers. Romeo may not seem full of temper at first, however, he hides this characteristic of himself. Romeo unleashes his temper when he sees that Tybalt has killed his beloved friend, Mercutio. He then shows off his imprudent acts by knowing there are consequences for being with Juliet, though he still pursues their relationship (Logos).…
The College Planning and Preparation course has provided me with an array of knowledge about college. I learned about financial aid, I looked up different colleges, and learned a lot about what I needed to do in order to get into the college of my choice. I also learned about the different activities college provides and about the college atmosphere. College Planning and Preparation taught me how to research different colleges, to writing college essays, and how to get the most out of college.…
The only way to get better at certain things is by doing them over and over. I feel as this applies to writing. In writing workshop we wrote a lot. So obviously I think that I became a better writer. Mainly because this semester I wrote as much essays as I did my freshman and sophomore year. During this class I changed some of my ways of writing because I didn’t like how it was. It also helped me see my strong and weak spots in writing. I can leave this class with tips for other students and with things that help me write better. This class is writing workshop and I will leave this class with more writing skill than I had in the beginning of the year.…
The first chapter of the American pageant focuses on the discovery of the Americas and how they came to be. The North American continent broke off from a Supercontinent called Pangaea some 200 million years ago. It was anchored in its current position by the Canadian Shield, an ancient rock plate below the continent. Many natural wonders of the Americas were created in this period of time, like the Appalachian Mountains, and the Grand Canyon. After an ice age, the great lakes, and many other freshwater systems were left behind.…
This semester has had a lot of work especially in English II, but I’m glad it was like that because I have learned a lot in my English class. I’ll be talking about a few things that I learned this semester. Like discrimination, debating, and how to convince people to change their mind about something.…
When I walked into high school four years ago, I never thought that I would become involved in student council or National Honor Society. Today I am the student body vice president and National Honor Society President. These experiences have helped me to build my leadership skills that I will be able to use for the rest of my life.…
get back into school was the birth of my daughter as well as my interest in becoming a police…
If there was one thing I learned from science fairs--besides learning how to properly record my data--is that friendships require forgiveness. It may seem implausible and absurd, but during the science fair two years ago, I had finally learned this valuable lesson of forgiving. I would often dwell upon this memory and smile, wondering how we had still won that science fair.…
In this task I will be reflecting upon an incident undertaken on area of my work. The model of reflection I’ve chosen is Gibbs (1988), which involves reflection on the description, feelings, evaluation, conclusion and action plan (Gibbs 1988). The Gibbs (1988) reflective cycle is fairly straightforward and encourages a clear description of the situation, analysis of feelings, evaluation of the experience, analysis to make sense of the experience, conclusion where other options are considered and reflection upon experience to examine what you would do if the situation arose again. The procedure in which I will be reflecting upon is Last offices; I chose this due to how constructive and valuable it was in my personal and professional development as a student practitioner nurse.…
As nervous as I was when I walked into Saint Joseph Catholic School (K-8) for my first day of kindergarten, I never thought I would be able to leave after 6th grade and enter the world of middle school. In a small school of about 400 kids, I was familiar with every face that passed by me in the hallway. I got to know the kids in my grade so well and we all knew each other’s life stories. By the time I was in 6th grade at Saint Joseph, some of my friends were planning on going to Kinard middle school in 7th grade. At this point in my life, I was not completely content with where I was going to school. The realization came to me that it was time to move on. It was time for me to try something new.…
The skills I will bring to the program will hopefully help my scholastic trip. The most important will be my enthusiasm. This is the ability as a dynamic person and also my commitment to accomplishing my objectives overwhelmingly. I have created different pieces of training along my adventure. With these skills, I have fulfilled each goal that I have set and in my also my comprehension. I have discovered that if I swamp myself in the learning of the material given. I will transcend the level of awareness; I had already accomplished. With these abilities, which I feel that I have accomplished extremely well, I will achieve more. I do realize that there's still skills I would need to embrace for me to advance my training in a higher…
Imagine a state fair packed with people and every second you get sacked, the fairs like a football game and you’re on offense and you keep trying to dodge the defensive end. The fair is really expensive, the rides are five dollars apiece, when I went on the tilt a whirl the person that operated the ride got on without being in a seat so right before the ride ended he ran into me but for some reason I was laughing hysterically. The guy must have gotten hurt because when I went back I looked over at the ride and then I saw a new guy operating the ride. After that I went on a ride that looked like a spider and that ride went really fast as fast as a rabbit running away from a hunter, I was on the ride for seven minutes it just kept going up and…
English 100w was a very informative and interesting class. It was taught by professor E. Cochran, who is a wonderful person and excellent teacher. We covered lots of criteria material and discussed topics during the tenure of the class. We also learned many new ideas about the incidents going on around the world, which were great for us. Reading skills were also honed while reading various essays and stories.…
My destination was Georgia and the reason why we originally went there was just for a vacation. But later my family and I decided to stay because we ended up enjoying our time there. One thing I do remember was us being on the plane for at least 5 hours and how much the cost came out to be which was $400. Another thing that seems to always bother me while traveling was the turbulence, honestly it scares me.…
After graduation, I want to be very successful. I am going to attend Coastal Carolina University to further my education and major in biology. The University of South Carolina in Columbia is where I really want to attend, but I did not get accepted. Since that plan failed, I became more interested in Coastal. Coastal has a very pleasurable campus which is outlined with astonishing landscape. It has classrooms that are well equipped to enhance learning capabilities. Coastal also satisfies my personality which is outgoing, yet ambitious.…
