One shift during the night
At 19.50 I walk thru the entrance to my work place to begin my night shift. The first thing I did was to sign in in the fire booklet. Because we have to according to the health and safety at work act in case there is a fire and if there is a fire, I am in charge according to the policy at the work place and need to know who is in the building in case of a fire.
Around the corner the staff was waiting, RN and carer, to give a rapport so they could go home. The evening staff went and night staff together with the evening nurse had a rapport handed over, both in writing and verbally as per the policy to keep a good quality of care they have at work and also the health and safety act 1974.
