Refugee Langston Hughes Analysis
The two poems written by Langston Hughes, dreams and Refugee. These two poems have many similarities and they both talk about freedom. Freedom a word with many meanings and a word with different perspectives. Some people look at freedom in a totally different way, depending on where they live and the things they live through. Then there's some people who don't know what freedom is at all and the word means nothing to them. Well in the two poems they will describe two different points of freedom but have a similar meaning. In the poem dreams there is a black women wear on her mind she seeks what every human being wants, and that's freedom. Well the word freedom is like liberty in a way but in this poem, there's noone out there that makes those words true. Then knowing that why is it that we set are county as the land of the free yet it is totally owned and greedy no matter where you go. So she is saying no matter what the seek for freedom is always going and the practice of it anywhere is very little. Finally, these two poems have a lot in common, and they are both talking about what every human wants, freedom. See the two stories talk about how they are both on the search for happiness, one girl without freedom and one with one but notices it is only so much freedom. They both talk about how it is a dream or a desire to have that freedom. Also they talk about how it would be great if one day you could have no responsibility and you could go out and do whatever it is you wanted. Clearly, the two poems dreams and refugee both talk about freedom and how people in general lack the meaning of the word. Also how people don't pay attention to what is going on and how much freedom really means to its people. The two poems have that want of freedom and desire it so much, but the both realize that freedom is only to a few not all.
