On average, I juggle the workload of a full time student and a certified nurse aid (CNA) position, working approximately 20 hours per week. As a CNA, I am responsible for working with a team of two other CNAs and providing care for 30 elders. My responsibilities are to bathe, dress, and assist elders to dine, serve meals, take vital signs, assist in minor procedures, and assist them with activities of daily living. When working in a long term care facility, it is easy to be negatively affected, because of the customer service nature of the job.
