Relationship Between Clownfish And Anemone

Leaders are to followers as clownfish are to anemones. The relationship between clownfish and sea anemones is one of mutualism. The clownfish seeks the anemone for a sheltered sanctuary from it’s numerous aquatic predators. In return for protection, the clownfish maintains the sanitation of the anemone’s tentacles as well as defending it from other harmful fish. This mutualistic symbiotic relationship is composed of one benefitting from the other’s success. The role of a leader is much like that of a clownfish and anemone.
