Religious Faith
One point of view I'd like people to consider is that nowadays sociology has taken the role of religion in a belief system. Many religious people simply believe in what they're taught according to specific interpretations of their holy books. However, many people simply believe in media or when someone tells them that "science" discovered this or have proven that, without checking sources, reading thesis, verifying references or even trying to reproduce experiments. So people simply believe blindly in science that same way they believe blindly in religion. I guess the problem about religion vs sociology is about thinking with your …show more content…
own head and taking conclusions based on own experiences rather than accepting whatever thoughts and conclusions others had without contesting.
My thought is sociology cannot define the fact that God this, God that... hell this... heaven this... people of faith are part of a virus, spreading... Equal to the walking dead franchise. People of faith, people who believe in a god... How come that there is so many religions in this world? Why would a god allow any misunderstanding or misinterpretation to so many diversity in faith and/or religion... or leave anything to imagination? How come that some people which are born in the US, are likely to believe in Jesus, and others in Muhammed? Common logic and sense tells me that, it's not a matter of faith anymore, it's just the environment you grow up in. Yes, I am happy that ever since I was 12 years old, I denied my faith (Christianity) but now I started reading some actual science books, and learned about Atheism.
The sociology way of religion would be the simple reason why people create religions is because they are trying to understand the world. Look how religion as changed over human history first let’s look at mythology. We now know how the sea works over 2000 thousand years ago they didn't so they made up a god Poseidon who they thought controlled the seas .Now let’s look at Christianity the first 3 pages of the bible was clearly foolish how the earth was created and how humans came to be there is no way earth formed in only 7 days and there is no way a god magically made 2 humans and somehow out of those 2 humans they populated the earth and made ethnic groups like black, Hispanic, Asian and Middle Eastern clear bullshit science has a good explanation why we have different races. Now there is this religion where they think a alien came to earth and an alien is a reason why there is life. I don’t know the name of the religion but I assure you that it’s real. I mentioned that religion because it’s one of the new religions and it uses more facts than others but still weird. I am not for sure maybe there is a god but I 100% sure it’s not the Christian god or any other religion we humans came up with of their religious faith.
The thought is science cannot refute God.
Science is a tool used in order to organize knowledge and use that knowledge to generate testable hypotheses about the natural world. A testable hypothesis is a statement that has the ability to be disproven through experiment. Any hypothesis that deals with God's existence is not a testable hypothesis; it a statement is incapable of being proven false. You cannot create a test that can falsify God's existence, so the statement is non-science. If a god is discovered it would be an observation; a fact. Science cannot determine whether any theory is true; whether a scientific theory ought to be labeled true is a philosophical question. It has nothing to do with …show more content…
science.
Finally, my thought is Religion is faith, science is a type of religion.
Science actually confirms "God" or outside interference, when carefully and honestly studied, analyzed, and accepted. Certainly it's easy to dispute the existence of God, or creator (whatever) by science at today's level. But there is a problem with science, the rules have been changing, not to mention mankind can only view at best 70 billion light years into the cosmos, which is infinite by all accounts that we know about. So it would be safe to say, science has no facts beyond that 70 billion light year range. That range beings an unmeasurable fraction of what existence may really turn out to show. It seems that much of the denial of a creator comes from the fear there may be a creator as easily as there may not .Which side do people choose to accept. Just
saying.
