Remembering an Event In Vietnam, just like here in the United States of America there are many holidays. But Vietnamese New Year is the biggest traditional holiday of the year. It is the first and last moments of a year and it’s a time for families to gather all together on New Year Eve with the firecrackers, special food. This also is the opportunity for students like me to meet old friends after one year abroad, to embrace of lovers after a long year of waiting.

My father and I are responsible for tidying up our house. Quickly, my house becomes splendid with a very beautiful apricot blossom full of sweet-smelling blooming flowers in the middle of living room. On the branches, we also put some lovely greeting cards which make the tree more beautiful. My mom packed Chung cakes because my mom is very skilled in packing the cakes. Thing I like the most was that my family was sitting around and watching her packing Chung cakes. Vietnamese New Year in my language is Tet. The atmosphere of Tet in my family at that time was busy and happy. My sister and I went to the market to buy some things for the New Year such as jam, watermelon, five-fruit tray, flowers, etc. I'm not a girl but I like hand-decorated tray of five fruits, bread and jam, then I made one large beautiful vases flower and put it in the living room . Although I had to do many things and became tired, I was very happy. My kitchen was full of delicious dishes with smell that floats into the air. We usually keep many kinds of food in our kitchen in the New Year festival. At lunch, we prepared a big feast to donate to the
