Renters Insurance Research Paper
I chose to write my paper on renters insurance. I do not own the place where I live but I do own valuables that should be protected. I decided to contact an Allstate insurance agent for renter’s insurance options. I was informed that renters insurance is for anyone who rents a home, be it a house or an apartment. Renters insurance can protect your personal property against fire, theft and vandalism. Renters insurance does not just help provide coverage for everyday necessities like furniture and clothes. It also helps protect theft prone valuables like laptops and bikes, wherever taken. If something like a fire makes a home uninhabitable, renters insurance will cover the increase in costs of a place to live until it can be moved back into.

Roommate.com, LLC is classified under 230 as an “information content provider” because the website made the questions, force users to answer them in order to use the website and posted them on their website. The court came to the conclusion; Immunity through section 230 of the CDA does not protect Roommate.com, LLC. The court rationalized that since Roommate, LLC required subscribers to answer questions about sex, sexual preference, and family status that makes Roommate.com responsible in part of the content for each profile page. There is no way to opt out which makes Roommate.com not protected under immunity in section 230 of CDA. Since, the…

Gaylord was the first offical dormitory that was founded in 1884 (Perry et al. 54). Like other dorm rooms it was heated by steam (wood stoves) and had gas lighting (Perry et al 55 and 56). This shows how food was very scarce in 1800-1900’s. During this time the women had to go to the spring three hundred feet from each building for drinking water, but In Gaylord, cistern water is piped to every floor in ladies’ hall (Perry et al. 55). Water was hard to get as Crete had no water system (Perry et al. 55). Gaylord had many rooms. This dormitory had 42 rooms that housed 75-80 students (Perry et al. 56). This hall was different because the women teachers also reside (Perry et al. 57). I would not like my teachers being my RA in college. Reverend…

On April 11th, 1968, president Lyndon Johnson signed the Fair Housing Act of 1968. In 2006, an estimated fifty million people lacked medical insurance in the United States of America (Pibel). Uninsured Americans were charged significantly more for basic services and died when medical care could have saved them. Unfortunately, it’s not only the uninsured who suffer in this desperate situation. Of the more than one million, five-hundred thousand bankruptcies filed in the United States before President Barack Obama’s administration, about half were a result of medical bills; of those, three-quarters of filers actually had health insurance (Pibel 1). On March 23 of 2010, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act became law. Also known as “Obamacare,” this law primarily functions to decrease the number of uninsured Americans…
