On the auspicious occasion of the 65th Republic Day, I extend my heartiest greetings and best wishes to all of you. I also convey warm greetings to the members of our Armed Forces, Paramilitary forces and Internal Security Forces.

Republic Day is an occasion to cherish and celebrate the enactment of our Constitution, to remember the supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters, and to reaffirm our commitment to the principles of socio-economic equality and justice for all.

26th January is a significant day in the history of our country. Soon after independence, on this day, we as a nation marked the beginning of our journey for enhancing the well being of all the citizens to ensure us our fundamental rights, as also the social rights in various domains of our living under the Constitution.
