INTRODUCTION
The last fire outbreak at the Multimedia centre in the West Campus gave the lee way for the visit to Yaba College of Technology, Yaba. The visit was made by Mr. Frank Ajibodu and Mr. Adebowale A. Adebisi.
This is the report of our visit to the Yaba College of Technology, Yaba, Lagos State on the 22nd November, 2011. We met the Director of the Centre for Information Technology and Management [CITM] which is the institution’s ICT, Mr. I.K. Oyeyinka. He discussed the followings with us:

THE CENTRE FOR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT [CITM]
The Centre for Information Technology and Management [CITM], is the Institution’s Information Technology’s back bone. It is a department on its own which is headed by a Director, Mr. I.K. Oyeyinka. It has units under it, which are headed by various HODs.
It is responsible for the provision of Internet access for the Institution, the College Network, Student electronic administration, Staff Information Management systems, College Educational Portal, and the Online Students’ Result and Transcripts processing. The CITM has one policy, they do things themselves, they believe in capacity building and minimum consultancy.
The Centre provides a network that runs on the campus fibre Optic.
THE STRUCTURE OF THE CITM
The CITM is divided into Units that are headed by Head of Department. The Units are underlisted:

HARDWARE SYSTEMS AND TRAINING DEPARTMENT
This department is responsible for systems deployment, installation, repairs and maintenance of computer
