Project Rationale
Technology makes our everyday life easier and simplier. It shortens the working time for a certain goal to be completed. Examples of technologies we used today are tablets, ipods, laptops, cell phOnes and many more. Technology opens many opportunities like the creation of information systems. Information system is an arrangement of people, data, processes and information technology.
Grading sheet is used by teachers in tabulating the grades of the students enrolled in a class. It is where the inputs of student are recorded and kept by using the forms. Individual grades of the students are recorded here. It is where also basic information about the student is listed. At present, teachers make use of traditional manual file system. It is a system involving Data processing which does not make use of stored program computing equipment. It involves writing and arranging the files in a way that it can be easily accesed. The informations are manually written and store in cabinets and drawers.
But problems on manual file systems are inevitable. It is slow and only accepts one input from the students at a time. Also many forms have to be printed that consumes time because it has to be written manually. Also lost of files is present and there is no permanent record for the student. To address this problem, the researcher proposes a computerized file system. This program is designed to hel teachers in keeping record of students and in filling forms needed by the student.
