ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to design a computerized enrolment system for a ruralbased higher education institution and to find out its acceptability in terms of construction design and functionality. The computerized enrolment system was developed using the software Visual Basic, an Object-Oriented Programming visualization tool. The result of the study revealed that the Enrolment System is “Very Acceptable” as evaluated by the selected faculty members and staff of the school. In the light of the present findings and conclusions, the following recommendations are advanced, namely, that this enrolment system should be introduced to the school; that it should be adopted by the school to help the staff find records of students more easily and faster and the system should be utilized as a model for future research, especially for technology or computer-related research studies. Keywords: Enrolment System, Management, Information System Computer Technology, Higher Education,

INTRODUCTION As we live in an advanced technology world where computers are a big help to all human beings, the discovery of all digital mechanisms has increased from a small gadget to big equipment, which are the products of the work done by well-trained scientists with the help of the advancements in science and technology. As time passes by, those aspiring individuals who want to be acknowledged in the fast-rising technology scene create more gadgets. In addition, they never fail to amaze and satisfy the ever-curious human beings. One of the best and eventually the greatest is the development of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

The Black Codes were laws passed on the state and local level in the United States to limit the basic human rights and civil liberties of blacks. Even though the U.S. constitution originally discriminated against blacks (as "other persons") and both Northern and Southern states had passed discriminatory legislation from the early 19th century, the term Black Codes is used most often to refer to legislation passed by Southern states at the end of the Civil War to control the labor, migration and other activities of newly-freed slaves. In Texas, the Eleventh Legislature produced these codes in 1866. The intent of the legislation was to reaffirm the inferior position that slaves and free blacks had held in antebellum Texas and to regulate black labor. The codes reflected the unwillingness of white Texans to accept blacks as equals and also their fears that freedmen would not work unless coerced. Thus the codes continued legal discrimination between whites and blacks. The legislature, when it amended the 1856 penal code, emphasized the continuing line between whites and blacks by defining all individuals with one-eighth or more African blood as persons of color, subject to special provisions in the law.…

Software development can be seen as a modeling activity. The first step in the software development is the modeling of the problem we are trying to solve and building the conceptual model of the problem domain. The next step is to convert this model to the solution domain model which represents the program that will actually solve our problem. In this perspective, programming languages define the solution domain model that can be converted to the running program by means of compilers. In summary, the software development process takes place in two different domains and at least two kinds of modeling techniques are required. Object Orientation narrows the gap between problem and solution models as it enables us to represent solution domain in terms of problem domain elements. The problem domain elements include real world objects that interact to accomplish a given task. For example, a library system deals with librarians, borrowers, books, and their interactions. While we model the problem, we model each problem domain element with their states and behaviors and identify their interactions. For example, any system to automate the operations in a library should deal with the objects in the problem domain. We can identify two merits of the object oriented approach in software development process: they can be used for any problem we face with and solution domain model actually resembles the problem domain model. Since the real world can be seen as a bunch of objects collaborating to achieve a task, shaping the solution domain in terms of objects and their interactions potentially gives us an opportunity to solve any problem using object oriented approach. Moreover, as solution domain model reflects the problem domain model, while you read your program, you are actually navigating through the problem domain. This, obviously, will contribute to reduction of complexity, ease of development and ease of maintenance of the programs.…
