My topic is all about Zumba: History, Benefits and Results in our Physical Health and Fitness. I choose this topic because it is timely. The purpose of my research is to give some information about Zumba.
Statement of the Problem
As I said in my introduction, my topic is Zumba: History, Benefits and Results in our Physical Health and Fitness. I will tackle its benefits in our body that may encourage you join or to participate and the history of it.
Importance of the Study
The importance of my study or my research is to give information and maybe to encourage people to participate on it.
Scope and Limitation
In this study, I gathered some information about Zumba; and I did this research on November 15, 2014 to January 15, 2015 at my house, in Sta. Cecilia College library and in an internet café.
Definition of terms
Zumba is a dance fitness created by Columbian dancer and choreographer Alberto Perez. It created in the year 1990s.
It is a Latin inspired dance fitness class that usually lasts between 60-90 minutes. Typically instructors start with a very short warm up (after calling out all of the “newbie’s” to the class) and then go straight into the dance portion where you will be expected to burn calories shaking your to the tune of a blend of Salsa and hip hop music.
Don’t be intimidated if you “can’t dance”; the majority of Zumba dance classes take place in the dark, often even with a disco ball spinning lights across the room. Plus, you can take comfort in the law of physics that everyone looks foolish when they dance.
