“If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things.”

Our managements philosophy is from "Albert Einstein “If you want to live a happy life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things. “Competence is the ability to do something successfully or efficiently. Our organizations success will be tied to being the top company not because of one person in particular but because the whole company. Being happy isn’t something that is evidently just given to someone it is a mindset that is usually followed after hard work and proper motivation. With the proper use of work motivation this will lead to a great organization wise performance.
This Goal-setting theory says that people will be motivated to the extent to which they accept specific, challenging goals and receive feedback that indicates their progress toward goal achievement.

If the company is going to focus on one function of the organization, it will be a goal, not specifically led by person or thing. Even being the CEO of the organization it is threw this vision that the company will see its success as well.

When you depend on people to make you happy it, which peoples actions aren’t in your control. Relating your happy life to a goal that is thought through. When a company has a Ceo they rely on their vision to see the company threw. Even the Company has to rely on employees to complete their function to allow the company to progress. The company must also have this quote labeled everywhere with our organizations label.

“In other words, the secret to happiness through work is earned success” – Brooks adds further. (Brooks 2) Many people consider work as the source of happiness, but for some unclear reasons they fail to find happiness and wonder what they do wrong. Usually they think it is because they work and earn not really much. The truth is that they look for pleasure got from work not in the right way. The value of success is not in material result, it is in improving skills and mastering. Then, Brooks broadens this idea with the phrase: “You can measure your earned success in any currency you choose. You can count it in dollars, sure — or in kids taught to read, habitats protected or souls saved.” It is the great view of success; with such an approach, success will become happiness indeed. Richard Schoch, a cultural critic, in his essay “A Critique of Positive Psychology”, assumes work as the obvious source of happiness. He states that “Work itself—challenging, rewarding and secure employment—also contributes greatly to happiness” (Schoch 451). In fact, it would be strange if successful work could not lead to happiness. Work takes the large part of everyone’s life; being passionate about work, loving it, seeing use of work for society, getting positive results from work – all these are powerful sources of bright emotions and happiness. When a person puts all the efforts and then gets the benefits of it, he…

President Roosevelt said “We don’t have to fear anything in this world, but fear itself”. This is not about sitting back and letting everything take its toll but taking action and acting on it. For example when people say life moves to fast for you to sit on your butt and let it pass, but enjoy life and embrace everything that happens. If you’re poor, that doesn’t mean u can’t make contributions in this world, money doesn’t always solve all the world’s problems whether you are rich or poor. President Roosevelt also said “You don’t have to have money to be happy, happiness comes from achievement”. When one works for something and successes in the long run, that’s when the feeling of happiness is real.…

Happiness is the result of achievement, as individuals, we must figure out what we want to do once we’re out in the real world; whether it’s becoming rich and famous, or just owning a regular house in a middle class neighborhood, we all have goals that we are looking to achieve so that we can be happy but the only way that happiness can be obtained is through hard work. As Bill Rancic stated “The American Dream is still alive out there, and hard work will get you there. You don’t necessarily need an Ivy League education or to have millions of dollars startup money. It can be done with an idea, hard work, and determination.” (Rancic)This quote is explaining how anyone can achieve success in America, through hard work and perseverance. It doesn’t matter how much money an individual has, hard work and effort can get anyone anywhere in life and land anyone any kind of job they want. A lot of businesses look for people who are hard working, determined, dedicated, and enthusiastic. They’re looking for someone who’s innovative,…

Throughout time the Greek community has had to put up with the assumptions that society has about them. Stereotypes include partying until the break of dawn, drinking like there’s no tomorrow, and hazing their new members in order as a requirement to join. Watching movies over the years that are about Fraternities and Sororities put that image about Greek Life into my head, because most movies interpret them to act a certain way. Yet not many know that Greeks each have their own philanthropy, a charity of their choice, to which they raise money for. Is Hollywood part of the reason why Greeks have fallen under that cliché? This is why I decided to look further into this topic due to the fact that I wanted to see if Hollywood has this ability to have a negative outlook on Greek Life.…

Flora suggests that these people tend to see beauty and opportunity whereas others may see flaws in the same situations (65). This reflects that it is important, when pursuing happiness, not to expect too much. If people focus too much on searching for happiness alone, their ability to see the simple, good things in life may be at risk. In the article, “Get Out of the Groove,” it is acknowledged that “human beings are constantly trying to make sense of the world” (de Lange). This suggests that people often do not realize what truly makes them happy, because they are too busy focusing on attempting to know everything about the world around them. It is important to acknowledge simple things, rather than overlooking them and searching for a greater factor of happiness. Searching for something that is out of reach, is more likely to decrease happiness, rather than increasing…

This quotation is particularly applicable with regard to the apparent secret to happiness: love. Most earthly love is conditional, we must deserve it in some way before receiving it. If you put yourself in a position to deserve it, you are more likely to receive it, so desiring it becomes rational, rather than wishful thinking.…
