Abstract:
This study is conducted in order to determine the feasibility of charcoal and used engine oil as an alternative raw material for whiteboard marker ink production. The purpose of the study is to help the people especially the students to save cents. For the product is very easy and handy to create furthermore our product promotes recycling and reusing because the materials can be found in household. In addition, the product which is a white board marker ink is very quick to make which saves time and energy. The researchers initially tried to produce a whiteboard marker ink by using a different oil-miscible solvent: a white wine and cooking oil. At first we tried to use the 5 table spoon of white wine. At first, the whiteboard marker worked efficiently but it dried up easily for about 1 day. Secondly, we tried the 5 table spoons of cooking oil (unused) and the ink that has cooking oil produced is darker than the ink with the white wine and the ink works very well.
