It is not an easy decision to make when you have a new baby and want to have a carrier that is perfect for them. The truth is, perfection is negotiable for each parent and each baby. Just because one is ideal for one person, does not mean that every parent will love that baby carrier. In many ways, this complicates life for everyone. There are so many features to consider and of course, you want comfort for both yourself and your baby. When you take a look at both the Baby Bjorn and the Ergo, two of the most popular carriers available, you will notice a variety of similarities and differences. Which one will you prefer or will you choose to go with something else?…
I have always been a visual learner, although I did not realize the technical term for my condition as a child, once I became an educator and became aware of the various ways to classify learners based on their abilities and learning style, I quickly discovered who I was and was able to classify myself accordingly. Visual learners are more inclined to gain knowledge through physical interaction and hands on experience with tools they can see, rather than through verbal instructions or explanations. However, it has been my experience that all types of learners find visual aids helpful, even f they are just used as supplemental information to enhance the knowledge they gained through verbal communication. Visual aids, such as process flow charts, are…

This is a case of Isabella Anne Constance Marie Wiens who was born on June 11, 2011. Isabella was taken from her mother, Sara Jane Wiens in August 2011 after she was deemed unfit to care for her (Kane, 2015). In March 2013, the 21-month-old toddler was found dead in the crib at her foster home (Kane, 2015); and the place of death was listed as Burnaby (Culbert & Shaw, 2015). Two years later, Ms. Wiens is still searching for answers as the coroner’s report classified the death as being undetermined (Kane, 2015). According to the coroner’s report a queen-sized fleece blanket had been draped over the crib to keep out light that had fallen and was completely covering the child (Culbert & Shaw, 2015). The post mortem examination findings indicated…
A mother grows tired as her infant child lies sleeping on the sofa of their small apartment. The mother not wanting to disturb the napping child surrounds the boy with blankets and pillows so he will not fall off the sofa during his nap. Never one to miss an opportunity to rest, the mother retires to her bed in the other room to take a nap. Moments later, the mother startles awake to the screaming of her little boy. She rushes to the living room to see what could be causing this blood curtailing scream and finds her infant being mauled by the family dog (Jenkins, 2007).…

The baby hatch system’s main objective is to reduce the number of baby dumping cases. They are likely to prevent abandonment in dangerous locations that might cause the baby to die, provide a safe haven, act as a source of support for the parents and serve as locations for “socially essential emergency refuge”. I had the opportunity to observe one of the infants room at San Jacinto college. One my first day of observations there were three kids, two boys and one girl between the ages of three and seventh months old. I saw the teacher playing with two of the kids that were laying on the rug and the other baby was being rocked by one of the students that was doing observations. I notice that in this room were a variety of toys available for the babies. When a baby was tired of being on the baby rocket or tired of…
OBSERVATIONS: It was 8:30 in the morning when my nephew was put on the high chair. Every morning, Aaron's mom makes him his favorite breakfast food, Cheerios and milk. This day was different than any other day because while watching his mom open a new box of Cheerios, Aaron starts to bounce up and down and tells her, "Me! Me! Me!" His mom ignored him and continued to pour Cheerios in his bowl. When she turned around and was about to get the milk in the refrigerator, I saw Aaron trying to push his bowl off of the table. I tried to do something about it, but it already hit the floor. Juvy, Aaron's mom, grabbed a broom and swept it across the floor. Couple of minutes later, Juvy grabbed the box of cereal and just before she poured it in the bowl, Aaron, again, starts to bounce up and down and tells her, "Me! Me! Me!" Juvy finally realized what he was trying to tell her; he wanted to pour the cereal in his bowl. Juvy, at first, was hesitant to give Aaron the box because he might make a bigger mess, but she tried to help him pour it, but he kept pushing her hands away so she asked him, "Do you want to pour the cereal in your bowl or do you want me to do it?" Aaron said, "Aaron." Aaron poured the cereal carefully in his bowl and started eating them. After he put it in his mouth, he began clapping like the food tasted better.…
TC is an only child and is six months of age she was placed by her mother on a special bean bag for a child of her age and is awake and making noises, cooing and babbling. She is dribbling quite a lot from the mouth, she is holding her hands by herself the left hand is holding the right hand and she is moving them up to the air whilst making a lot of noise. I have washed my hands on entering the house and I have now picked up a blue teething ring I give it a little shake on front of TC she immediately looks at it and smiles however she does not reach for the teething ring. This time I put the teething ring in her hand and she puts it straight to her mouth, she sucks on it for less than a minute and drops it she has no interest in the teething ring anymore as I have handed it back to her and she is not taking it. Tc is watching her mother very closely if her mother moves Tc turns her head to look at her mother. I have observed TC child rub her right hand over her nose she closes her eyes whilst doing this and makes a moaning noise but not quite a cry her arms and legs are moving at the same time and she is…
