Research Paper On Beauty And The Beast
Beauty and the Beast
By Estelle

A vicious beast a cursed castle and beautiful girl.
A classic movie retold better than ever, now in live action.

Beauty and the Beast is about a young girl named Belle. Belle unlike everybody else in her town knows how to read and loves books. Her mother died when she was very young so she lives with her father. When Belle’s father gets captured by a hideous beast and locked in a cursed castle it is up to Belle to rescue him. But what if taking his place in a dark prison cell is the only way to save him? Would it really be worth it?

I would recommend this movie to anyone. It was suspenseful, heartwarming and even scary at times. Unlike other remakes of movies Beauty and the beast was still just as magical

The boxing drama starring Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger and directed by Ron Howard is based on a true story of one man's extraordinary fight to save the family he loved. "Cinderella Man" tells a boxing story we've all heard before, Fighter gets knocked down, fighter struggles, fighter ultimately wins, but this story is different. This movie characterizes what actually happened to James J. Braddock, the celebrated athlete whose boxing comeback became a sign for hope during the Great Depression. This film captures the depression era when hopelessness was constant and hope was nothing more than a dream. That dream is Jim Braddock (Russell Crowe) who captures the character. His talk, his walk, his style in the ring are all perfect and also aspiring.…

Of Mice and Man is a great movie with surprise twists. Even though they took out scenes from the book the put their own scene in order to make a good movie while sticking with the book. The way they hook the person to watch the movie by adding a thrilling chase scene and we don’t know what’s happening so we want to keep watching to see why they are being chased and hiding. I personally would give this movie 5 stars because it is one of the best movies from a book I have…

In the Brothers’ Grimm fairytale, Rapunzel, the witch is seen as a horrible, evil character who takes Rapunzel away and locks her in the tower. However, the witch was actually good and she was protecting Rapunzel the best way she knew how to. First of all, Rapunzel should’ve stayed in the tower because the tower was protecting her, the witch was kind to her, and she was naïve. If she stayed in the tower, Rapunzel wouldn’t have ended up stranded in the desert with her babies for years and she would’ve been safe for the rest of her life. All of her actions showed that she was naïve and inexperienced. Lastly, nowhere in the story does it say that the witch was mean to her until Rapunzel disobeyed…

Kirk Wise and Gary Trousdale directed Beauty and the Beast, it first aired in theaters on November 22, 1991. Beauty and the Beast portrays the second scene in our movie, which depicts the ages four to ten. At this stage in our life, we begin to establish our own opinions just like when Belle decided to form her own opinion on Beast . Our lives have been long enough to cognize the world and we have a better understanding about topics. Most young children at this time in life, cherish a movie more than school. Not all children would (I for one loved school more than anything), nevertheless, most children would watch a movie and come to school the next day avid to discuss it. A vast majority of children at this age loathed school, so they would…

The expectations of fairy tales are predictable. At least one if not both parents are dead in most Disney princess movies. Along with the fact that their lives aren’t the picturesque fantasy a royal is believed to have. Which makes why I find them so comforting odd to a lot people. The reality of this is what comforts me. A child of adoption fanaticizes over the life that they can have or should have had. The dream of a perfect family is euphoric to them. They have the thoughts of, “what if I was a long lost princess.” These thoughts are what drove me to be stable, honest and trustworthy.…

The Bloody Chamber collection by Angela Carter is a selection of short gothic retellings of well known fairy tales. Two of the works “The Tigers Bride” and “The Courtship of Mr Lyon” are both based from the story Beauty and the beast. Beauty and the beast is a traditional French tale first created in 1740. As they are based off the same text it’s not surprising that they have some very similar elements, however their differences are where the deepest questions are to be asked.…
