Dyslexia occurs when there is a problem in areas of the brain that interpret language.
They say its not cause by vision. It does not interfere with ones ability to think or understand complex ideas. Most people who are dyslexic have a normal intelligence, and many even have above average intelligence. People who have dyslexia may appear with either a writing and developmental arithmetic disorder. This condition usually runs in families. Usually people with dyslexia have or may have trouble rhyming and separating sounds. People with dyslexia have trouble connecting sounds of language to letter of words; they usually have difficulty understanding the
sentence. A person who is considered a true dyslexic or is diagnosed with dyslexia are considered a much broader than simply confusing or transposing the letters. For example they usually get the letter “b” and “d” mistaken. Some symptoms of dyslexia include having difficulty to determine a meaning of a little simple sentence, difficulty in how to recognizing words, difficulty on rhyming words. Some signs and tests that usually that its important for a doctor to rule our other causes of learning disabilities they say especially the reading disability. Some factors that can cause these learning disabilities could be emotional disorders, intellectual disability, brain diseases and some certain cultural and educational factors. Doctors or probably a specialist complete a medical exam that includes neurological exam so maybe doing a CT scan or an MRI on the brain just to see how the brain is doing and there is no diseases or tumors causing a learning problem. Second they usually ask questions about the person’s development, social and school performances, and the last thing is if anyone in his or her family from either parent’s has had or is dyslexic. I have seen a lot of teens and adults who have a disability have poor self-esteem so they usually recommend they may need to have some counseling to overcome it and cope with their everyday daily lives. People with dyslexia especially children who are in school need extra learning assistance, a one to one with a teacher or a tutor and special day classes. I think some don’t even mainstream in regular classes and they are put in the self-contained classes. Dyslexia is a learning problem that some kids have. Usually dyslexia makes it tough to read and spell. It has been said that the problem is inside the brain but its not that you are dumb, even the most talented and smart people have struggled with dyslexia but if you get the proper treatment you can succeed in life. All a person need is a lot more help and it’s a lo of hard work but you will be able to read, spell, and comprehend the meaning and sounds.
