Research Paper On Pet Peeves
Everyone has pet peeves and we all know how annoying it is when someone is pushing your buttons. So in an attempt to save an argument I hope you never do any of my pet peeves. My first pet peeve started around the age of fourteen whenever i was testing my friends all day after school. I hated it whenever someone would text me for about five minutes then reply hours later like nothing changed. Texting is instant so I aspect a response within about ten minutes unless you me otherwise. My second an most hated pet peeve is the "all for one, one for all." logic because it makes zero sense. Your grades isn't based on your classmates nor is your salary dependent on how well your coworkers are doing. So why do we still get pushed in school based on

    Dick Armey Summary

Every day I would pass my college to see the same construction that has been going for quite a while, and I wonder if that’s the reason the tuition keep going up. Not only that I am struggling to pay my tuition, I cannot handle the textbook changing every year or even semesters. Also, I believe that it is not to anyone’s concern that the textbooks are costing students a fortune. Armey states that the main focus should be about the students and I agree highly. But I do not believe the students have the main floor as they should. Half of the classes that I have taken so far, the professors do not live up to their end. I often wonder to myself where my money was going towards. I come across professors who do not want to be in the classroom or want your input about the topic of that day rather than wanting to leave. I don’t mind cutting class short but I would like to be taught properly and understand what they are rushing through. And, sometimes people do not that the time to stay after to get tutorials due to family, work, or personal issues. I do believe higher education should be enforced. It would challenge not only the students but the professors too. So, students can focus more and learn more, while professors are actually being paid…

Hate radio is mainly about how corrupt the radio is and the effects it has on listeners. Many of these radio shows are criticizing, looking down on, and even making fun of minority races, minority religions, and even females in general. This gives the public reason to hate these minorities. It angers me that such a large number of people in our country can be influenced by radio. I think it should even be outlawed if they are making discriminatory comments about other races. I understand the first amendment and that there’s supposed to be freedom of speech in our country. I agree that the people speaking on the radio should be allowed to say what they are saying, but not to the entire public. When someone can…

Anything from A-Z that involves school is a bad habit that I have to deal with. I mean everything about school annoys me. That means teachers, rules, and parking, finding paper to write on. I was saying to my best school bud Jared, the following questions. Where we were hanging out by the food truck complaining about how lunch is only 35 minutes and it just isn’t enough time to have lunch. It’s a hassle to get to school on time. What’s the deal with teachers assigning homework? Why do I take pointless classes that won’t affect me in the future? Why do I enable my teacher’s mind determine what grades I get on assignments? As my sixth grade teacher once told us, “ lets examine this further under our educational microscope.” To analyze and dissect this complicated matter.…

OCD stands for obsessive-compulsive disorder. An individual with OCD tends to worry about many different things. On average, one out of fifty adults currently suffer from this disorder, and twice that many have had it at some point in their lives. When worries, doubts, or superstitious beliefs become excessive then a diagnosis of OCD is made. With OCD it is thought that the brain gets stuck on a particular thought or urge and just can't let go. Most often people with OCD describe the symptoms as a case of mental hiccups that won't go away. This causes problems in information processing. OCD was generally thought as untreatable until the arrival of modern medications and cognitive behavior therapy. Most people continue to suffer even though they had years of ineffective psychotherapy. Today treatments tend to help most people with OCD. OCD is not completely curable but is somewhat treatable.…

For example, my major is Interior Architecture and I find it pointless to take an English class. I do not see how reading a book and jotting down notes can help me when I go to build a model or draw a plan. Having to go to studio and stress over my work not being done just because I have to go attend a modern belief class or composition class is ridiculous. I think that students should just have to take classes that…

If you are constantly washing your hands, counting your steps, or impulsively repeating tasks in life, perhaps you are always counting things or checking things. If these actions are taking over your life or constantly occupying your mind, perhaps you have obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). OCD may not be as rare as originally thought. All children have worries and doubts, but children with OCD often can't stop worrying, no matter how much they want to. And those worries frequently force them to behave in certain ways over and over again.…

Some may choose to conform to avoid confrontations and troubles. Obedience will always be more popular than independent, deliberative thought. Thought requires effort. Obedience only requires the suppression of whatever individuality one feels until, by habit, one's opinions automatically conforms. The system rewards conformity, and punishes defiance. Over time, most people will choose the behavior that rewards them over that which punishes them. Of course, all social progress is based on the idea that someone, somewhere, is thinking independently, and will come up…

Many individuals with OCD understand that their obsessions and compulsions are unrealistic. Most individuals have fair insight, they know bad things won’t occur if the don't perform the rituals. Some have poor insight, the individual truly believes something bad will probably happen if the rituals are not performed. And very few individuals have absent/delusional beliefs, those are when the individual is convinced that something bad will definitely happen if they do not perform the rituals (American Psychiatric Association 3).…

Most of us think that cats are allergic to water, but in reality, it's not true. Not all cats feel the same about water. There are different categories, some may enjoy, some may not. The Partial cases are different. Despite not enjoying a full immersion, many house cats are fascinated by water, dipping an exploring paw into the water bowl to scatter a few drops or running into the bathroom at the sound of a shower. Homework we all love homework right? Actually no it sucks and I’m pretty sure everyone hates it. You gotta deal with it though, except every year you’ll get one teacher that will give you what seems like 20 thousand assignments to do each night and they seem like they will take a month to complete if you’re lucky. But of course that teacher will make them all due day after day with no time in between! Is that really necessary. You come home to relax after being in school for what seems like forever, but instead you have to get right on that course that has a million assignments to complete, by the time you’re finished its already like 9 a clock and you still have homework from different classes to finish, by the time you are finally done all your homework, it’s like 2 am. You end up with no time to do anything else. You only get 4 hours of sleep, like is that really necessary NO it’s not fair! It’s especially unfair to the students who have jobs or are involved in extracurricular activities. Sure school comes first but you’re always telling us to get involved in our school which we can’t do if we have tons of homework to complete. Homework takes up your day, you don’t have time for anything else, not even dinner sometimes! Unless you are working on an essay or a project you shouldn’t have to spend any longer than 30 minutes on ONE course it’s stupid! It really pisses me off when teachers give you tons of homework, just to give you homework! You come back the next day and no one has their fricken homework done then the teacher acts so surprised and gives the whole class an hour long speech on how you should have been spending your time wisely. Well maybe if you didn’t give out so many assignments all at once more students would have had them all done on time! Think about it teachers you always complain about how we expect our work marked so quickly and that you don’t have the time to mark it cause you have so much work from…

The reason I agree is because the people who think they are better than anyone else is likely to bring the other people down. The way they could bring others down is by lowering their motivation by saying “ you’ll never be good as me” or “ why do you even try?”. These words could affect the person's feelings and that is what uneducated people do. I remember when I was in 8th grade, there was a kid who thought he was better than everyone else because he was considered the “cool” kid in our class. Since he was the “cool” kid, he never did H.W. and always disobeyed the teachers and principals. Soon enough, the principal decided to kick him out of the school because he was a student who caused trouble and was a menace to the students education.…

Simple, it is all because of our society’s established norms in terms of education. Society makes a big deal out of grades. It made students who have bad grades to often get looked down at. It established schools that implant to students the idea of getting good grades in parallel with being a better and more likely to be a successful person. Schools made students believe that a better future is ahead of them if they maintain good grades, excel in class, do well in school, and avoid failing marks. Students aspire for profession and great future opportunities, hence, with this idea set in their minds, they are motivated to do study and strive hard at school to get really good grades as much as possible as much as they can. They set high standards on themselves with the belief that the grades they receive are a measure of their success or…
