Some instances of road rage can be someone driving inches away from another person’s rear bumper, weaving in and out of busy traffic, or someone racing another vehicle to the merge. But, what makes road rage worse is when the driver of the car gets out and confronts the driver of the other vehicle on “what he/she did wrong.” Some people have …show more content…
been caught throwing objects at cars because of road rage. If anyone would search “road rage” on Youtube, hundreds of videos will pop up involving horrific scenes. Some of the videos have someone pulling the door handle spontaneously until the driver would get out of the vehicle. Luckily, other drivers exited their vehicles to try to calm down the upset driver.
Cell phones aren't the only thing that gets road rage on video.
Dash cameras have become a new source of defense. Police officers are now equipped with dash cameras in their cars to catch critical moments when they confront a suspect. So, in case the suspect claims the officer did something that he shouldn't have, he will have video evidence on what actually happened. Consumers are also filling their cars with dash cameras to capture any footage of vehicle accidents or any road rage they encountered. But, what does someone do if they have an angry driver out of their car and banging on the window?
First off, do not engage in any confrontations with someone who is upset. Ignore that person by driving away or avoid contact and do not get out of the vehicle or roll down the window. If someone in a car is stuck in traffic and has no place to go, then they have right to dial 911 if they feel that their life may be in danger. If someone hits another person's car, make sure someone gets the license plate number so they will be able to report it to the police as a hit-and-run accident.
Overall, today's technology has advanced so much to benefit everyone. There are cameras pretty much on everything, from sunglasses to the trunk of cars, to the outside of some American homes. So, the next time someone honks that horn, act like they are the plague and don't acknowledge
them.
