The role of Historic Scotland was created in 1991. It’s an agency of the Scottish Government. * The head of this agency is the Chief Executive who is the responsible to Scottish Minister. * Historic Scotland embraces all aspects of the cultural heritage. As result of that they responsible for the enjoyment, promoting, understanding and the safeguarding the nation’s historic environment. * * 2. Historic Scotland created the Sustainable Procurement Action Plan to help the agency achieve its objective. * Historic Scotland wants to work with the Scottish Government to produce a “Delivery Plan” to provide an effective sustainable procurement. * 3. Historic Scotland is responsible for maintain and running over 360 monuments in its care. In these properties people can find castles, palaces, museums, glenrothes town art, grants and funding, historic and listed buildings, scheduled monuments and battlefields. * 4. Explorer Pass is a membership that people can buy to join to the Historic Scotland. People can buy this membership online in advance or in Historic Scotland.
