Knowing what research approach is more appropriate than another with a particular research question or population of interest relies heavily upon the type of conclusion that can be drawn from the research. It is stated in the text that, “It is important to evaluate the needs and circumstances of your research project before selecting a design”. (Landrum, R. E. (2012). Having said this, it is inevitable that the researcher is aware of the many factors that go along with research such as, the number of independent variables that are being manipulated, the areas of learning and memory and many more. Therefore, “Often the research question you are interested in dictates the type of design used”. (Landrum, R. E. (2012 sec. 3.1).…

For my senior project I took on the task of rebuilding a 2007 Polaris 700 snowmobile. It was a challenge working on a new kind of machine, all of my previous mechanical experience being on motorcycles. I decided to step out of the box and try something new! Difficulties came along with this decision from lack of knowledge on the simple make up of parts that comprise a snowmobile, to a basic problem with tools available at my house. Luckily I have friends and family members that are very knowledgeable in all motorized vehicles and these folks came in handy when I would get stuck during the process of swapping most every stock part on the sled out for aftermarket upgrades.…

I don't like student led conferences, some of the good things about going to these are that my parents get to know how I am doing in school. Another is that they get to see some of the enviorments that we are learning in. My mom cares about that stuff because I have to study at home for church a lot and we have to go into a room that is not distracting. Also some of the reasons I don't like student led conferences is the time that we take to make the "portfolios" and we don't get more time to work on actual school work. Another reason why I don't like them is that we have to find a time to do the conference and we have a tight schedule at home so it is hard to find time for that. So in conclusion I don't like student led conferences because…

Grasping the idea of sexual assault and rape can be a difficult task. We know of it within our world, but it may not effect us in our own lives. Vulnerability is a more comprehensible feeling. Many girls around the world can relate the constant comparison between themselves and others, their need for attention, and insecurity. In Joyce Carol Oats’ Where Are You Going, Where Have You Been?, the main character, Connie, displays these feelings through her subconscious thoughts and mindless actions. Her longing for acknowledgement leads to the extremely unfortunate event, meeting Arnold Friend. Connie’s low self-esteem, constant need for male attention, and lack of judgment force her to be helpless to the manipulative people she attracts.…

A project that I am working on is trying to be less stressed. During the school year I tend to get very stressed out about my schoolwork and grades. First, I am trying to manage my time better so that I will not fall behind and feel overwhelmed. Next, I am going to take yoga classes for stress and meditation so that I will not get bad tension headaches. Third, I will try to think positively and remember that if I relax and try to do my best at school that everything will work out. For the most part, this is a self project that I hope will help me in the long run for both High School and…
