The play A Streetcar Named Desire revolves around Blanche DuBois; therefore, the main theme of the drama concerns her directly. In Blanche is seen the tragedy of an individual caught between two worlds-the world of the past and the world of the present-unwilling to let go of the past and unable, because of her character, to come to any sort of terms with the present. The final result is her destruction. This process began long before her clash with Stanley Kowalski. It started with the death of her young husband, a weak and perverted boy who committed suicide when she taunted him with her disgust at the discovery of his perversion. In retrospect, she knows that he was the only man she had ever loved, and from this early catastrophe evolves her promiscuity. She is lonely and frightened, and she attempts to fight this condition with sex. Desire fills the emptiness when there is no love and desire blocks the inexorable movement of death, which has already wasted and decayed Blanche's ancestral home Belle Reve.…

C1- It is important to plan to meet the care and learning needs of all children because all children have individual needs that need to be met. For example a child with a learning disability might struggle with the work that more able children are doing. Practitioners will therefore need to differentiate the work so the child is able to attempt it. This way the child will also feel included in the setting because they are able to participate. Many children are from different cultural backgrounds and they have different needs. For example for a Muslim child practitioners must consider providing halal food for the child and also when they are giving out snacks it must be suitable for vegetarians.…

A covenant is a promise or an agreement with binding obligations. (Arnold) In relations to the Bible it signifies God’s pledge to bless mankind. The characteristics of a covenant are such that they are irreversible and permanently binding. The Bible contains many covenants, most of which are contained in the Old Testament. One of which is prophesized in the Old Testament, and for Christians the promise is fulfilled in the New Testament. The major covenants in the Bible are the Noahic, the Abrahamic, Mosaic, Deuteronomic, Davidic, and the New Covenant.…

Once you have selected your research topic can you begin to work on actually doing your research. However . . . It is important to note that the purpose of the Research Report in the MBA programme is to teach you how to identify and solve a problem / issue in the business environment. It is not primarily about the topic – the topic simply gives you a subject to work with. The Research methodology course is designed to support you through the process of, firstly writing your Research Proposal (essentially your research plan), assisting you to get through the panel (a quality assurance and ethics check), then point you in the right direction to conduct your own research, write it up to completion and finally see you graduate. You can find research topics from, amongst other sources, the following places: 1. Existing Research Reports – the final Chapter in the Research Report is “Conclusions and Recommendations”. The recommendations are a) to those who have an interest in or may be affected by the research and b) Recommendations for future research. 2. The application of an existing theory in a different setting or a different context. Much published research (eg in Journal articles) relates to overseas situations – what would that research find if carried out in South Africa? 3. An investigation into whether a particular early theory (eg about strategy, leadership, customer relations, diversity management, the financial markets, globalisation, economic theory etc etc) still applies today. 4. A replication study (choose a good study to replicate if you do this) of previous research in a different setting, context or time‐frame, eg in a different market sector, or after democracy in South Africa. 5. The exploration of a gap or contradiction in existing theory / research. 6. The exploration of any links between two or more different ideas or concepts, eg what are the effects of teaching style and class size on MBA…

The aim of the research paper, which is a requirement in the second term of the academic year for the advanced students, and sometimes for the intermediate students too, is to equip our students with precious skills of conducting research using various sources and then putting up all the data they have gathered into one meaningful whole and interpreting the results. They also learn how to format papers, how to present information, how to cite works and write bibliographies. In short, they learn those skills when stakes are not too high. Starting with their freshman year, the students will have to conduct research and will be graded on their work. In their prep year they can do that to practice.…
