Resident Assistants Report
Resident Life really is a lot more than I was expecting. The amount of people involved with trying to make our lives easier throughout our stay here on campus is outstanding. On top of all that all the other people, the counselors, the secretaries, Dr. Miller, the list goes on, all these people are here to make our lives easier and I’ve never been more proud to have the opportunity to have just the possibility of being a part of that and contributing to helping all the students …show more content…
This meeting was very helpful and informational. I was in Mr. Ippolito’s group discussion. Which in itself was a little intimidating because he was one of the reasons I decided to do this, and I didn’t want to screw up. The first day of orientation he kind of scared me with his speech. I really have come to respect and look up to all of the residence coordinators but “Ippy” was my hall’s coordinator and he really made me feel like this place was “my home lower-case h.” We began in this meeting asking a variety of questions from questions about being a resident assistant to questions about Mr. Ippolito’s experiences as a coordinator and as a resident assistant. I personally asked about the bulletin boards, as far as the apartments went I really had no idea where they were I had never seen any when I was up there. I learned that there are a few places the biggest place being in the stairwells and that they’re electronic. To do our bulletin boards we’ll get a templet and we’ll submit our design to be put up. We asked as a group what was expected of us as resident assistants. We got told a great deal of information. We were told about the hours we’d need to “be on

It is my pleasure to recommend Molly Rooy to your Physician's Assistant program as she is an exceptionally qualified candidate. As an MD I need full confidence and trust with my interdisciplinary team when caring for our medically complex patients. When Molly started with Select Specialty, a long-term acute care hospital, she was quick to develop connections with staff, patients and family. I immediately learned that I could rely on her as she routinely updates me on the nutritional status of patients, modifications to her interventions and provides appropriate recommendations. Her charting is impeccable, including thoroughly explaining her interventions and are always up-to-date. Molly's superior critical thinking and problem-solving skills…

Clinics, hospitals, and other medical settings are well-organized environments; each staff member has their individual responsibilities that contribute to the success of the health service center. A doctor’s job, for example, involves the direct interaction with patients, as well as diagnosing and illness or injury and prescribing treatment options based on their observations and the client’s personal history record. Some physicians may prefer to write their own letters in certain circumstances, however, they are generally very busy, seeing one patient after another for the entire duration of each day. Because of this, medical and administrative assistants handle a lot of the primary arrangements regarding the appointment scheduling, examination room organization and sanitization, checking patients in and out, as well as various other tasks that the physicians simply do not have time for.…

When I researched the role of Physician Assistant it stated “Physician Assistants take patients histories, perform routine diagnostic studies, assist in emergency medicine, monitor patient progress and manage therapeutic plans”. Whether they are at their best or worst health of their life. You must always have a positive attitude and promote the best outcomes for the people/patients that are in your care. Those are attributes that can not be taught, that has to live inside of you.…
