In all honesty, this season turned out almost completely different than I had originally hoped for and anticipated. I didn’t really picture coming off the first play of our first scrimmage tearing my MCL and being out for four and a half weeks because of it. I didn’t plan on a strained neck and a slight concussion toward the end of the season. Nor did I plan to arrive at our Thursday practice one week and to be moved to starting Quarterback for the next there games, due to Payton’s injury.

And when I did, it seemed people gave up on me. And I realized then as well as now, I messed up several times. However, those were my first ever starts at quarterback and, with each mistake as well as success, I was able to find my weakness in each situation, correct it and, play better. And through each situation, you, my other coaches and, my teammates all picked me back up.
Coach, most see me as the Running Back and, that is true – I am the Running Back and, I am proud to say that I am. But, at the same time, I am also a quarterback and I will continue to strive to be the best one I can be. And, I have resolved to strive to be the best leader and player I can be for my team through both those roles. I will give it everything I have and, I will not give up.
I want to thank you for having faith in me and, for giving me opportunities. Thank you for your leadership, thank you for your support and, thank you for your time this season. I cannot wait for our next
