Dear Pascual Laboratories:
Good day to you Sir/Ma’am. I am Kevin Joseph L. Felipe, an aspiring employee of Pascual Lab. I am writing to you to apply for any position that involves laboratory work (Laboratory Analyst/ Assistant, Quality Control/ Assurance, Lab Analyst for waste water). I am also open and willing to entertain positions where my skills and credentials are applicable.
During my stay in the university, I was involved with different university wide events as an officer of our College’s Biological Society. Our group conducted various projects relevant to our field of study like peer-teaching, tree planting activities, as well as projects with social welfare contribution like our yearly Blood Letting Project and Red Cross Volunteering. I attended seminars and leadership camps with particular focus on environmental protection and sustainability that enabled me to understand deeply the role of human kind in the protection and conservation of our natural resources. Our group research entitled “Phytoextraction Potential of Rose Moss Plant (Portulacagrandiflora) on Lead-Contaminated Soil in Different Soil Treatments” particularly studied the plants capability in extracting the heavy metal Lead (Pb) from contaminated soils collected by the river banks of the Marilao River in Bulacan. Prior to experimentation, we tested for the initial Pb content of the soil and found that there is a high level of Pb in the soil which is not surprising for the collection site is near a car battery smelter. In the experimentation proper, we used the plant and different soil amendments/treatments to assists on phytoextraction. Final tests showed that biomass promoting treatments increases the plant’s phytoextraction capability. Our findings proved that the Rose Moss can now add up to the
