Retroactive Inhibition in Memory
The hypothesis that can be deduce in the study is when there is interference, which is the retroactive inhibition, the process of learning or the process of memorizing will be disrupted. A total of 30 students of Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris undergraduates volunteered to do this experiment, which is consist of 22 female students and 8 male students. Participant is asked to look at two list, List A and List B, 3 letters, 10 words for each list. Later, they will write back what they had seen in a piece of paper. As they are able to write either 9/10 or 10/10, they will be given rest time for about 6 minute. In that particular moment, experiment group will be test with backward counting from 50 to 1. As for control group no test are given. Control group mostly had the score of 8 words correct. The higher performance shown in the memory of the syllable is control group (M= 7.93, SD= 1.22) t(14) = 25.13, p = .001, two-tailed test, r2 = 97.8 %, while in experimental group (M= 7.87, SD= 1.64) was shown the lower result of the memory, t(14) = 18.56, p = .001, two-tailed test, r2 = 96.0 %. It could be deduce that when there is interference, which is the retroactive inhibition, the process of learning or the process of memorizing will be disrupted. The hypothesis is accepted.

This research is conducted to examine the effect of later learning on the recall of previous learning. Retroactive define in Meriam Webster as extending in scope or effect to a prior time or to conditions that existed or
