, the misuse of plastic bags may be responsible for environmental contamination, they are much more eco-friendly than many assume, especially when looked at from their creation to their eventual end. Plastic from plastic bags is polyethylene, which is made from polymers refined from natural gas and sometimes oil. The polyethylene forms long chains of atoms, mostly carbon and hydrogen, that make it keep its shape and give it the strength to hold other objects while remaining very light. Including all different types of plastic bags, the United States manufactures almost 90 million of them a year.
Manufacturing plastic bags is a much more simple process than it may first appear. As a whole, producing plastic bags creates 50 percent less greenhouse gas emissions than producing paper bags, which require a more complicated, detailed process. Making plastic bags also uses 70 percent less energy and leaves 80 percent fewer byproducts than paper versions. Compared to the alternatives, plastic bag manufacturing is a highly efficient process that produces little waste and requires much less energy. Depending on the process used, plastic bag factories also tend to produce fewer water pollutants than alternatives.
While plastic bags do sometimes end up in natural environments through littering and careless actions, most can be recycled as easily as the paper versions. Plastics are synthetics and cannot become part of the ecosystem again, but they can be used again in other materials, most notably composites like composite wood. These composites are made up of recycled plastics and other substances which can be reused as light and durable construction

    For doing this what we do is cut the sheets of polyethylene and align the sheets in an appropriate way so that with a binding machine we can seal strips together making our bag. Sometimes store logos may be added after or packed in a specific way. Although that we have the bag already made, the bag after several uses it has to be disposed. I would say that most of the people are aware that plastic bags when disposed will take a huge time until they are fully decomposed, I could read from the reference that actually the plastic bags never fully decompose, they just keep turning into smaller pieces, it does this because polyethylene is unable to do biodegradation it just keeps breaking down due to photo degradation that takes place due to the interaction with ultraviolet radiation from the sun. If we throw them there will be them forever but what else can we do when we are done using them, if we do nothing the plastic bags will keep piling up polluting our environment. Over the last decades they have been burned, this is a huge mistake given that plastic bags come from natural gas which contain hydrogen and carbon, when this bags are burned they produce dioxin and many other substances that when inhalated can cause cancer plus carbon dioxide emissions.     Plastic comes from oil, a hole is drilled and a pipe is inserted into the earth. Oil is forced by the earth’s pressure up the pipe, into a storage drum and taken to a refining facility where it is processed and set into molds. Plastic is a by-product of oil refining. One major factor concerning the use of plastic is the safety of animals. Over 100,000 birds and marine life die due to an encounter with plastic, and much of that pollution is plastic bags. Although, researchers have also found that plastic bags produce considerably less air pollution, water borne wastes and industrial solid-wastes compared to paper bags. When plastic bags are thrown away, the bags go to one of two places: into a landfill where the waste takes up about 7% of the landfill or the bags go to a recycling center. Plastic is easy to recycle because it only needs to be melted and set back into molds. Plastic impacts pollution in two ways as well: nearly half of the power to make a plastic bag is created by nuclear fission. While these effects are controversial, nuclear power is said to put no direct harm on the environment. Other sources used to make plastic such as coal fire are known to pollute. The second impact of plastic is through landfills. Biodegradable plastic is a misnomer because once burned, only about half of the plastic dissolves leaving millions of pieces of plastic in the bags place. Plastic is not able to dissolve because of the condition of the landfills. Landfills have become airtight and don’t allow for proper decomposition.…
