Grendel’s mother seeks out to find the killer of her son and seeks revenge on the person who did it.
Grendel’s mother fits the them love because she give her all into finding who kilt her son and will do anything to get too them. “Grendel’s mother embodies the theme of revenge as she buries her grief in an assault on Heorot. She is more than determined to out who is the killer of her son, so she can seek revenge and when she do it won’t be nice. Grendel’s mother is really mad and upset about the death of her son. “Carrying the man as well as her son’s arm, she retreats to the mere.” She went to go find her son’s arm to get it and burry it but she still is seeking out to find the
killer. Throughout the poem, Beowulf shows great heroism sign’s for himself and his people to keep his people safe. Beowulf is in the middle of fighting to help his people. “There was a shied Shearson scourge of many tribes, a wrecker of mead benches, ramping among foes. There were a lot of people and Beowulf wasn’t by his self, his people had his back the whole time, they didn’t give up on him they stood by his side. The Danes were sitting waiting for the good news. “So the spear Danes in days gone by and the kings who ruled them had courage and greatness.” As the Danes sat and waited the king kept them thinking positive about everything. Envy, love, and heroism motivated Grendel, Grendel’s mother, and Beowulf to seek revenge. All three characters showed some type of emotion to the poem and played a huge role in it too.
