As throughout the beginning of history, man still continues to struggle with the morals of right or wrong. In Hamlet, Claudius holds the power within the kingdom, however with every wrong move he makes his reign within the kingdom comes falling down with him. Through this morality that Claudius had made to have Hamlet killed, was ruined when Horatio found out and horrified in this asks "Why what a king is this!", before running back to Hamlet to confess and convince Hamlet that he is the same man who killed his father. In modern day society, through common communities losing the ideas of morality as they lead to consequences which could then lead to the corruption.

Deception is one of the larger aspect that is influences within Hamlet, as every character is very seriously affected by it in one form or another. Throughout Hamlet it illustrated the dangerous influences that the deception can have on the relationships and family trust. One of the main characters Claudius is portrayed as the villain within Hamlet through his deception and betrayal to his kingdom. Although Claudius is socially adept and his charm is genuine, he still exhibits the deep distress for his “dear brother’s death” and for his wife, “Th’imperial jointress to this warlike state”. In modern day society Claudius is the source of the bad men of today’s society. A man named Robert Mugabe a duplication of Claudius in many ways.
