Revenge In Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing
In life, there are situations that occur where a person has to make a decision whether or not to do the right thing or do what feels right. Revenge is an opportunity to retaliate or gain satisfaction after a situation that gives a person an uneasy feeling. In the play “Much Ado About Nothing”, revenge takes a big role in how the story unravels. Misunderstanding lying and confusion equals to the problem, stirring the pot, which creates more plot in the story. In my essay, it will explain how revenge drove me to making a decision that could really affect my relationship with my family.
My family consists of my mom and my little brother, my dad passed away when I was 5 so it has just been us. I am 4 years old than my younger brother James. When we were younger, I would pick on him without anything really happening to me but a good laugh. Unfortunately, we

When I caught up to my brother, he was standing behind my mom laughing as hard as possible. My arm was literally burnt and he hurt so badly, my little brother marked me. Once I told my mom he laughed too, she thought it was funny because I used to torture him and he finally got me back. His reason for burning me was to remember me when I got old because people change but the marks they do not. He marked me like a slave in the older days, which made me even madder, after that day I could mess with him anymore, he won the war. Revenge's journey over the last four years has been about as rocky as the open sea, with incredible highs and ridiculously lows. War between a brother and sister is about love and hate and as the old sister, I understood that. When I made it clear that the decisions that we made could really hurt one another my brother understood. From that day on little pranks, stayed little and we never let it get back to war. In conclusion, revenge is a serious situation and most of the time it is not the right thing to

Acting on revenge can either be bittersweet or deadly. Revenge is the act of “getting someone back” who has done another person wrong. Other times, the person would act upon his revenge without letting the victim know what he is getting revenge on. Although, sometimes, an individual would just forgive the other person and move on.…

The question of how far the Ghost persuades Hamelt into action hinges almost entirely on whether the audience agree that revenge is indeed the primary function of the play. Although this seems to be the case, an argument can also be made that it is Hamlet’s journey to taking action that is the important part of the story, not the simple action of taking revenge. It also depends on whether the audience sees a desire in Hamlet to seek revenge even before the Ghost shares the story of his murder; and to this end whether the Ghost is simply a manifestation of Hamlet’s subconscious, persuading him to take an action he has already decided on.…

Yes we all have this burning sensation in our minds and we go off thinking to ourselves what could I have done to deserve this? and you plot up ideas on how to get the person back. This could also work on siblings, if they take the last chocolate chip cookie from the pantry and you’ve been waiting to eat the cookie every since you came home. Telling on your sibling’s could be a form of revenge and you watch as they are nagged for doing such a little thing.…

In the short story “The Cask of Amontillado” by Edgar Allan Poe, revenge although is not just an abstract idea. When a man is insulted by a fool, the man becomes so angered that he vows revenge. Revenge tragedies have been pretty popular, because of the fact that everyone deep down can understand at one level, its something that we all understand and respond to even if it be imaginatively because we can’t carry out such a vengeance our selves. The basic outline in a revenge tragedy goes as follows: The avenger in this case Hamlet assumes the responsibility early on in the play to avenge the death of his father, and from there he spends much of his time overcoming obstacles, weather this may be uncovering the identity of the murderer or chasing the murderer or collecting clues that lead him to the villain. This may cause a whole lot of action and a whole lot of excitement, and then it concludes with the avenger taking out the act of revenge, however the revenge must be carried out in the most appropriate fashion, handing the villain over to the authorities may not be satisfying. This is a very old formula that still works today, it can sum up a number of western movies, and if it’s done well it can lead to a lot of success at the box office.…
