Review Four Weddings and a Funeral
Four weddings and a funeral, directed by Mike Newell, is a quite amusing film that takes place mainly in London and the Home Countries. This acclaimed British romantic comedy is focused on the intermittent romance between a charming, but bumbling Englishman -Charles- and a beautiful American woman -Carrie-, who seem to always run into each other at weddings.
The story begins with the wedding of Angus and Laura, at which Charles is the best man. At this wedding, Charles meets Carrie for the first time and spends the night with her. Then, she goes back home to America. Nevertheless, they meet again in the second wedding, where she introduces him her fiancé. Soon, Charles receives an invitation to Carrie's wedding, he desperately tries to confess his love to her, but it is too late. Moreover, at this wedding a friend of Charles dies of a heart attack and it makes Charles to take a quick and unconscious decision: he wants to marry his “true love” as soon as possible.
This film has a delightful script with some wonderful writing and polished performances. The cast , which includes Hugh Grant as Charles and Andie MacDowell as Carrie, is also excellent, emphasizing the superb performances of all the characters. What is more, the soundtrack, mostly by Elton John, is absolutely brilliant.
I highly recommend this film because you find yourself reacting to the weddings and the funeral almost as you do at real events involving people you didn't know very well, and wanted to know better. Don’t miss

Instead of being a film that is gloomy and sad, the film has the remaining family members preparing a feast and arguing over where to bury the body. We don’t ever feel sad that the character is dead in the first place. We just laugh at the way they go about putting her to rest. They set the story up so that we focus less on the death and more about the bickering between family members. One of the characters also pokes fun at certain aspects of religion, which is always a very controversial topic in movies.…

    Carrie Movie Analysis

Carrie’s role makes the people wonder where is Carries other family or child services when needed. Moretz said to act in the movie just as the Carrie in Stephen King’s book does. Margaret (Julianna Moore) she plays the crazy mother, whom never wanted a child punishes Carrie in every way she can for imagined sins. The characters in Carrie are good but Carrie seems to take away some of the good pieces wrote in Stephen King’s book. The movie has good scenes and sound effects but it seem as something is missing from the original version. Casting for Carrie is great and the actors do not let their audience down, however it seems as if you just can’t get into the movie if you have read Stephen King’s book. This version of Carrie was not scary at all and did not live up to the horror like Stephen King wrote. As one keeps watching Carrie it gets uninteresting even though it’s good how it depicts on teen bullying that’s happening today. The movie has a great aspect for teens who can relate to being bullied and does not have any home family support, which makes them lash…

    Bridesmaids Movie Review

Bridesmaids is a terrifically funny, smart, and emotional ensemble comedy. Some may say it’s the female version of The Hangover, while others may think it’s quite similar to Bride Wars. This movie pulls off the amazingly uncanny trick of being both brutal and gentle at the same time. I highly recommend this movie to all audiences over the age of 17. The unexpected truth of being a bridesmaid is revealed, but in the end, Kristen Wigg (Annie) persuades you that there is a greater light at the end of the tunnel. Despite the chaos, lifelong friendships end up being what truly matters.…

This movie is very real and heartbreaking. The portrayal of emotions and character feelings is acted very well. You can identify and relate with each of the characters on a personal level. Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, the movie portrays a “normal” family and brings insights into the hidden dynamics of the family. The reality is that there is a lot going on in the background of the family and it is dealt with in a lackadaisical manner full of denial and ignorance without proper communication and supports. Social status is very important as indicated by the cocktail parties, involvement in school activities, and the social aspects of Beth and her friends over the issues and problems going on with Conrad. The movie accurately portrays the real details of what goes on behind the facades people put up for the benefit of others.…
