CHAPTER I
THE PROBLEM AND ITS BACKGROUND

Background of the Study
Mathematics is the study of quantity, structure, space, and change. Mathematics seeks out patterns, formulates new conjectures, and establishes truth by rigorous deduction from appropriately chosen axioms and definitions. Nowadays, it is known as one of the gate keepers for success in all fields of life. It is a common saying that Mathematics is the mother of all subjects. That is why it is considered to be more than a subject and is conceived as a key for solving problems.
This problem-solving nature of Mathematics can be found in sub-disciplines of Mathematics such as in geometry, calculus, arithmetic and Advanced algebra. The fourth year high school students are taking advanced algebra. Advanced algebra is an important area of mathematics. Algebra is a generalized form of arithmetic; and for the purpose of generalization of arithmetic, the letters and signs are used.
Physics, another subject that fourth year high school students have, is a natural science. It is the study of matter and its motion through space time and all that derives from these, such as energy and force. More broadly, it is the general analysis of nature, conducted in order to understand how the world and universe behave.
Physics covers a wide range of phenomena, from the smallest to the largest. Included in these are the most basic objects from which all other things are composed, and therefore physics is sometimes said to be the "fundamental science".
Physics aims to describe the various phenomena that occur in nature in terms of simpler phenomena. Thus, physics aims to both connect the things we see around us to root causes, and then to try to connect these causes together in the hope of finding an ultimate reason for why nature is as it is.
However, most students find these subjects challenging. These may arise from a number of factors, such as the methods employed by their teachers and practical use of these

Science is the way humans understand they history of the world, how the world works, and how to prove evolution or the big bang with physical evidence and experiments. In many cases scientist gather information to test new ideas to improve or prove old ones. Their ideas can lead from atoms, to cells, to a new species, and to trying to figure out the universe. What is know about the universe are the orbits of the…

Physics is defined as the branch of science concerning the study of matter and energy and the interactions between the two. Physics tries to explain the nature of the world around us, how things happen and why. Swimming displays some physical properties, such as buoyancy, drag resistance and propulsion. We swimmers are at a constant battle to stay afloat, while fighting through the water and propelling ourselves forward, and we do so using technique.…

One question that people often ask is physics? Physics is the branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy. The subject matter of physics, distinguished from that of chemistry and biology, includes mechanics, heat, light and other radiation, sound, electricity, magnetism, and the structure of atoms. Or in a more simple definition physics is science that focuses more on matter, energy, motion, and force(Erwin Schrödinger Facts).…

It is the science of matter and its motion, space-time and energy. Physics describes many forms of energy - such as kinetic energy, electrical energy, and mass; and the way energy can change from one form to another. Everything surrounding to us is made of matter and Physics explains matter as combinations of fundamental particles which are interacting through fundamental forces. It will not be an exaggeration if it is said that Nature is almost Physics (apart from the fact that the word Physics itself is derived from Greek word "physis" meaning nature).…
