I believe that this Trump tweet uses the Ad Hominem logical fallacy. I think this is due to how it is attacking Jeb Bush’s character and not his opinions or arguments. While Trump does provide a little bit of detail to the claim with $150 million, the fact that Jeb Bush spent more money on campaigning has nothing to do with his endorsement of Ted Cruz. Also, the amount of money he spent on the campaign has no effect on who Jeb Bush is or if people should consider his endorsement. Donald Trump had a specific audience in mind for this tweet. He wants people who are struggling to decide on who to vote for to see this post. His purpose is to discredit Bush’s endorsement of his opponent so voters will ignore it.
