All the citizens are equal and treated fairly in the U.S. “ I have a dream that one day this nation will rise and live out the true meaning of its creed ‘we hold these truth to be self evident; that all men are created equally’”(Dr.King’s speech). This was dr. king’s dream and it did become true. According to the publisher at A&E network, Barack Obama, an african american citizen became the first president of the U.S. on November 4, 2008. Many people did not want to accept the new african american president, however, obama made history and was very successful that he was elected for a second term. thus , america showed respect for its creed and all its people by grant them rights for equality throughout the nation.

“Racism is still with us. But it is up to us to prepare our children for what they have to meet,and,hopefully, we shall overcome.”(Rosa Parks) Even if legal documents changed some people’s views specially on racism topic won't change because they refuse to change their beliefs.
