One of the problems in Parker’s essay is the fact that she has no credibility in the subject. In her essay she never stated who she was or what exactly have her the authority to speak of the topic . especially since she isn't an expert in politics or in people's preference to subjects. Especially with her hasty generalization of American Republicans. The way that she sets them apart and isolating them to the point that they might not feel comfortable with her argument. “How dare you criticize the king , shout the minions at the jesters. He’s going to bail us out, get us jobs and cut our taxes!” In this imagery that Parker has created, we the reader, can say that Parker is ridiculing her republican audience by comparing them to minion. Portraying republicans as thoughtless, gullible citizens that are force feed to believe anything. The effects of her generalization make her seem untrustworthy. Her lack of respect to other people who don't share her liberal standpoint can bring her trustworthiness down. Making her other arguments and reasons seem somewhat poor. Especially since she being offensive to her readers who may or may not share the standpoint that Parker is
