Rhetorical Analysis Of 'The Bloody-Monday'
It appears that the big corporation HP has had its share of trouble when it comes to keeping up their targets. In many of the articles, the same tone is represented as a passive-aggressive mindset. Not entirely shaming HP, but it is safe to say that the intent is to highlight the major weaknesses at the expense of innocent workers. The workers stories are certainly being told through their claims of discrimination and the inside information that has been leaked. We learn that almost 30% employees were cut on a Monday and internal hires that remained where confused and disgruntled by the certain jobs that were being let go. This Monday is being referred to as the "Bloody-Monday".

I think the introduction is one of important part of the essay. Because the introduction grab reader’s attention and make them to read more. I had to follow the instruction given by the professor. I stated my specific topic and I wrote about one topic in my whole assignment. I read the book over and over again, and I analyzed the book from a certain point of view like a book critic. My work was well organized into paragraphs. Each paragraph focused of a single part. Also, I used transitions to help my assignment flow more smoothly.…

Initially he strays away from the battlefield because he is afraid of death and wants to live among the living and not the dead. Later, he becomes desperate to get shot and earn his "Red Badge of Courage" to prove to the other soldier that he is not only a man but a true hero. The purpose of this project was to write a journal entry for a series of chapters and note rhetorical strategies used by the author. A author's purpose is then written in MLA format to compare the author to the book and learn more about the author in general. At the end of the book, we were to conduct a presentation about the book and…

Sometimes leaders can get distracted, even the great ones, but it is their job to realize that they made a mistake and must suffer the consequences. Some leaders only lead for the glory. Everett from O Brother Where Art Thou is an amazing leader and his men looked up to him. Although Everett can be considered a good leader, throughout the journey he usually seems to care for his own self. Although the Coen Brothers appear to provide Ulysses with a sense of leadership in O Brother Where Art Thou, in reality they portray him as a selfish, desperate man in order to suggest that a life where one only thinks of themselves will lead to destruction.…

Bloody Sunday (Greengrass, 2001) shows the story of the peaceful march incident on 30 January 1972. In Blaney’s essay, she states Bloody Sunday presents itself as a counterfeit document. The main reason of her statement is that, Bloody Sunday specifies itself to viewers as a docudrama style film. In order to make Bloody Sunday a counterfeit document, Greengrass replicates the real footages and iconographic photographs. There are many different types of relationships that women wish for. Some want a man that will daunt on their every need. Other girls wish to "wear the pants" in the relationship and even occasionally women want just to live in the same household and have sex but do not seek any kind of restraining vows. In Katherina's case she wishes to be insubordinate in any type of relationship she is forced into. On the other hand Pertruchio does not wish this in his wife so he puts down his foot to show Katherina who is the dominant and who is the submissive. In Shakespeare's Taming of the Shrew, he uses diction and imagery to explain Katherina and Petruchio's relationship.…

The dust bowl was a tragic time in America for so many families and John Steinbeck does a great job at getting up-close and personal with one family to show these tragedies. In the novel, “The Grapes of Wrath”, John Steinbeck employed a variety of rhetorical devices, such as asyndeton, personification and simile, in order to persuade his readers to enact positive change from the turmoil of the Great Depression. Throughout the novel, Steinbeck tells the fictional narrative of Tom Joad and his family, while exploring social issues and the hardships of families who had to endure the Dust Bowl and the Great Depression. Steinbeck’s purpose was to challenge readers to look at the harsh realities around them for “the purpose of improvement”. The rhetorical strategies used in the “Grapes of Wrath” elicit a deeper understanding from its readers for the hardships these migrants faced and helped them to fight for a better way.
