Rhinoplasty Surgery
Rhinoplasty is a procedure to correct and reconstruct the nose to either aesthetically improve the nose or improve the functions of the nose. During this nose plastic surgery, the surgeon makes incision to gain access the bones and cartilage that supports the nose. The incisions are usually made inside the nose so they are not visible on the outside. The surgery is performed based on the requirements of the patient. A surgeon may either remove some bone and cartilage or add tissue to reshape the nose to a desired shape. After the reshaping has been done, the skin and tissue is redraped on the new structure of the nose. A splint is also placed outside the nose to support the new shape of the nose as it heals.
