Richard E. Byrd: Exploring The Arctic

Richard E. Byrd was the first to explore the Arctic & Antarctica then he became famous in 1926. He was the first man to fly to the North Pole. he conducted & patrols in the North Atlantic & became a pioneer in long distances, on water & air. Byrd test his navigational equipment in extreme climates. His round trip ,expedition the North Pole , funded by American industrialists,was completed about 16 hours on May 9,1926, & Byrd international fame .The scientists who claimed that Byrd would not have made the trip in such a short amount of time.
