His father was a policeman and was often very abusive towards Ramirez. Ramirez was also prone to epileptic seizures due to two massive head injuries that happened when he was young. He went to school until he turned 18 when he dropped out and moved to California. Ramirez was mostly influenced by his cousin Mike to become a serial killer. He had attacked a 22 year old woman named Maria Hernandez and shot her in front of her home. He then continued to go inside her home and found another woman inside. He had also shot and killed her. After an hour after these two murders, he had gone to a nearby park and attacked another woman. He pulled her out of her car into the middle of the road and shot her. After he shot her he left and fled the scene. When he left, the woman was still alive and breathing, but when an ambulance had finally arrived, she was already dead. These two separate incidents had gained a lot of attention in the media and had called Ramirez "The Walk-in Killer" and "The Valley Intruder". 10 days later on March 27th, Ramirez shot and killed a wife and her husband. Mr. and Mrs. Zazzara were killed by Ramirez in their home and had their eyes gouged out afterwards. The only evidence the police had were footprints that Ramirez had left in their front lawn garden. The couple were later found by their son Peter that same night when he returned
