Dr. Reena Ramachandran is currently working on “Innovation University Project” under PPP model (A unique project of the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India). Prior to this was Chairman & Managing Director, Hindustan Organic Chemicals, a PSU under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India, General Manager, ONGC, Cement Research Institute and Ministry of Science & Technology, Director General Fortune Institute of International Business and Fortune Institute of Communication & Television and very recent one was Director General, J.K. Business School & JK Padampat Singhania Institute of Management & Technology (promoted by JK Organisation), Gurgaon

Education : M.Sc. (Chemistry) (1963), Ph.D. (Chemistry) (1967) from the University of Allahabad, India. And Doctorate in Science (Chemistry) (1971) from France. Diploma in French Language.

With a varied professional experience of over thirty years in Textile, Drug, Cement, Petroleum and Petrochemical Industry including, management of small industrial units, transfer of technology and planning, and management of corporate affairs, Dr. Ramachandran also has over nine years research experience in the field of natural product chemistry, medicinal chemistry, textile chemistry and physical organic chemistry.

Nominated and elected member of over a score of technical, management and educational advisory committees, boards, and councils. Was appointed a Member of the Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur by Govt. of India, January (1994). Nominated as a ‘Member’ of the Governing Body of Council for Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) for 3 years w.e.f 16/03/98 by Govt. of India, Dept. of Scientific & Industrial Research. Nominated Member of the Council of Indian Society for Training & Development for the year 1998. Elected “Fellow” 1998 of Indian National Academy of Engineering and as an expert member of the Committee set up by the Ministry of Human Resources to
