Introduction
I am here to tell you about my log book that I will describe four legislative factors that influence the health and safety in football. This will include * Health and safety at work act(1974) * Work act(Reporting of injuries ,diseases and dangerous occurrences regulations(RIDDOR) * Health and safety(First aid) regulations(1981) * Fire safety and safety of places of sport act (1987)
Health and safety at work act (1974)
This act explains the main principles of health and safety within the work place, the main aspect of this act is to provide a legislative framework to promote, stimulate and encourage the best an highest standards of health and safety within the work place and play football make sure the standards are at the highest.
The legislation applies to all persons at play football which includes all staff e.g. employer, employees and self-employed people. This protects people at play football and also the general public.
The responsibility’s the employers have an obligation to ensure the: * Ensuring safe plant and equipment- Play football makes sure that the equipment they use is the best it can be and safe to use like making sure that that it is safe for the public to use. * Ensuring safe systems of work- Play football make sure that the equipment used has been checked by staff to see if it is safe to use like making sure the pitches are good to use by checking there is no rubbish on the pitch or it has no holes which prevents injury's minor or major. * Ensuring safe use, handling, storage and transportation of articles and substances- Play football ensure everything they use is used in a safe way by making sure all corridors aren't blocked and is easy access in and out of the centre.
