Project Description and Objectives:
To accommodate the parents and the nearby school, the redevelopment of the Super Park was initiated. It is a high visibility project and have been deemed a high priority. The Project Manager will be be dedicated to this project until it is completed.
Scope Statement
PROJECT OBJECTIVE:
To redevelop of the playground by incorporating new equipment and landscaping in 4 months with cost not to exceed $140,000 which can accommodate ages 3-12.
DELIVERABLES:
• A fully redeveloped 3,000 square foot playground
• Installed new playground equipment will include rubber block foundation, heavy duty swirly slide, swing set, seesaw, monkey bars, benches, and water fountain
• Installed new sod and trees
• Installed border fence
MILESTONES:
• Permits Approved
• Foundation Inspected
• Playground Equipment and benches installed/inspection
• Rubber block foundation Installed/inspection
• Water fountain change out
• Sod and tree installation /inspection
• Fence Installation / Inspection
• Final Review
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Rubber block foundation must meet or exceed guidelines found Consumer Product Safety Commission ( CPSC) Handbook for Public Playground Safety Publication 325
• Playground equipment must meet or exceed CPSC guidelines
• Fences must meet (find guidelines)
• Contractor must be qualified and licensed to construct playgrounds and registered with the NPCAI International Playground Contractor’s Association
LIMITS AND EXCLUSIONS:
• The playground will be constructed to the specifications and the design of the original blueprints provided by the DPW Engineering Division
• Restrooms will not be included in the redevelopment project
• Contractors reserves the right to subcontract
• Contractor will be responsible for subcontract work
• Site work will be limited to Monday through Saturday, 0800 to 1800 according to Camp
