River Expedition Reflection And Analysis
My team had a great number of strengths on the River Expedition yesterday. One strength we had greatly was collaboration. We did a very good job with collaboration, while taking the tests. We would talk to each other to find out what answer we would choose for each question. We also made sure that everyone that had something to say was heard. Another strength that we had was definitely communication. We talked with each other, while on the river on some of the things we learned. These were mainly things we felt were important and that could possibly be on the test. We also communicated well with our note taker on what they should write, when we were listening to demonstrations. We also did a good job on talking to someone if they were possibly confused on something to make sure they knew what was going on. A great strength we had was teamwork and fairness. We worked very well with each other and let everyone be involved with what we were doing. On the tests we would all talk with each other on the question, let everyone's voice be heard, then choose an answer. These are the strengths my team showed on the River Expedition. …show more content…
One of these challenges would be using my time wisely at times during school. With being in a fall sport this makes it very tough with homework. After school I have practice that gets over around 5 or 5:30. Then I get home and eat dinner and it is already 6:45 or 7. Then I have to complete all of my homework and I stay up fairly late. I have persevered through this by just finishing my homework and by not giving up on the homework. Also, I have tried very hard lately to get homework done during school, so I don't have to do it when I get home. This has been my greatest challenge, while being at Plymouth High

Along with school, comes the part-time job, the social activities, and the personal relationships that college students must make time for. All of which can become distractions when trying to focus on just one task. What is most difficult for me as a college student, is balancing time between my family and homework. What matters to me the most is my family and because of that, I find myself setting homework aside so that I can spend as much time with them as possible. Later on, I am crammed with all this homework with only a couple of hours to get it all done. I get overwhelmed, frustrated, and I begin to stress thinking that I am not going to have enough time to get everything done.…

Problem solving is a personal quality for me because as a team you must be able to solve problems and generate solutions. Problem solving helps my communication skills as a team leader. At my summer camp job, I used problem-solving skills when I was dealing with troubled campers. My team and I came together and discussed the different solutions we could use. Another personal quality is communication because open communication is needed for good team members in order to be skilled and tactful communicators. Open communication helps team members solve problems in a positive and smooth way. I enjoy having open communication between other students either in the College of Democrats or the National Society of Collegiate Scholars because you can learn more about each other and people can share their ideas without fear. For me, positive teamwork has been possible though practiced problem solving skills that I learned as a camp counselor and open communication with others. Positive teamwork either comes from problem solving skills as a camp counselor or openly communicating with other…

Obstacles and hardships are what shape a person. One of my many obstacles I had to face was getting use to my freshman year in high school. Due to me going to an Early college my freshman experience may have been a little different. Transitioning was one of the most difficult parts of the whole experience due to me not being able to really grasp what I had gotten myself into. My teachers were very firm in conducting their teaching strategies. I can recall a moment in time where I had turned in one of my first papers for my English class I was so excited for her to read it because I had worked all night on it trying to perfect it. A couple days passed and I got the paper back it was so many read marks on it if I didn't know any better I would…

One has to approach school as an added duty in one’s life. I must add an extra responsibility to my daily chores and activities. I am venturing into an activity I have not done any schooling for over 30 plus years now. School is something I must learn all over again. This changes our everyday routines to a point that we all must learn to work well with this new education. I am glad that in the past I had learned great tools to work with while working on these new responsibilities. Making it great while I was getting my A.S. degree in Florida Tech College out of Orlando, FL. Back then everything was paper and pencil or pen. Now I see an all new era of schooling and especially online. I force myself to get things done early, just like I do when I need to be somewhere for an appointment. I arrive much earlier than requested so I have time to sit and plan what will be going on at this appointment. I turn that into the same here with my online class. I don't like to be late for anything even dinner at home. Work on my college activities and required assignments take on the same aspect that I apply to my personal life. Both must be taken on with kid gloves. But as long as I keep in mind the goals created for school and stick to them I should have no trouble working out any obstacles that come my…
