1. Where was Rizal after he left Dapitan?
He was on the way to Cuba. July 30, 1896 , Rizal had given up all hope of being free , a letter from the Governor informing him of the approval of his request to go to Cuba. The next day July 31, 1896, after a 4 year exile, he left for Manila, on board the steamer Espana.
2. Arrive Manila: Date: July 31, 1896
July 31, 1896 Upon arrival in Manila Bay he was transffered to the Spanish cruiser Castilla, held incommunicado, to wait for the warship which was scheduled to sail for Spain.On board the Spanish warship, Rizal learned through the newspapers about the outbreak of the Philippine Revolution. This did not surprised him.
3. Left Manila : Date: September 3 , 1896; He was on his way to Barcelona
On September 3 , 1896 , Rizal left for Barcelona on board the Isla de Panay.
4. He now left the Philippines via the Isla de Panay to country: Barcelona, Spain Dated: September 31, 1896 last day of the month September 31, 1896 on board the Isla de Panay for Barcelona, Spain , he was officially notified by the captain of the ship that he was under arrest and that he was to be confined in his cabin.
5. Date: October 6, 1896 back home in Manila , Date: November 3, 1896 arrived in Manila.
October 3 1896, the Isla de Panay docked in Barcelona. Three days later October 6, 1896, Rizal was taken to the Fortress of Montjuich. same afternoon he was made to board the steamer Colon, which was bound for Manila.
November 3, 1896, The Colon reached Manila. Rizal immediately brought to Fort Santiago under heavy guard. He was tried and and condemned as a traitor.
