Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Case Study
Forty- three years ago, the largest philanthropy in the nation was founded: Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF). The foundation takes health issues and search for a way to improve better health in America (About RWJF, n.d.) The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation has many different areas they focus on to improve communities around the United States. A few of their main focuses are based on child and family well-being, health coverage, health leadership and workforce, health system improvement, healthy communities, and healthy weights. Robert Wood Johnson Foundation was founded by Risa Lavizzo-Mourey, the President and CEO of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (Our Focus Areas, n.d.). Many people knew him as “General” due to his commitment serving as the general in the Ordnance, New York during World War 2 (Our History, n.d.).
