Jane Eyre was despised by her aunt and her cousins, and was tormented by them until she was disowned and sent to boarding school. Robinson Crusoe’s family do not exactly hate him, but they just do not approve of his life choices. His father wants him to study law, but Robinson wishes to go out to sea instead. He eventually goes against his father’s wish and sets out to sea.
The first challenge came on Robinson’s second sea voyage. His ship is seized by pirates, and he has to eventually break free. Jane Eyre had some difficult times in her life, also, like when her best friend Helen died in her arms because of sickness. But they both understand that life goes on, and that they cannot dwell in the past. So after Robinson escapes, he and a slave boy, Xury, run away to Brazil. After Helen dies, Jane has to accept the fact that she is gone she continues with her schoolwork, even becoming a teacher after a few years.
These two characters are both very brave people, even though they have gone through so many things in their life. They have both experienced a lot of hardships, like the death of loved ones, difficult choices, natural disasters, etc. But they both overcome them and eventually have happy endings that they
