I am extremely confused about the direction of ac current flow in the circuit. If current reverses its direction for every positive and negative half , so in that case does that mean that - electrons flow from phase to neutral in positive half cycle and , similarly for negative half cycle electrons flow from neutral to phase.? Please clear my views regarding this.....

If an AC current is fed through a piece of wire, the electromagnetic field that is produced is constantly growing and shrinking due to the constantly changing current in the wire. This growing and shrinking magnetic field can induce electrical current in another wire that is held close to the first wire. The current in the second wire will also be AC and in fact will look very similar to the current flowing in the first wire.…

I think as artist, to be able to put human arms as a robot .Creativity has nothing to do any activity in particular with painting, poetry etc. “Robotic arms” that perfectly the movements of human operator. Not only do the arms move the same way as human arms; they also feed the force of their movements back to the operator. When used in the workplace, the arms would allow human workers to perform heavy lifting for hours at a time The “Robotic arms” could be used in places where conditions make it far too dangerous for humans to be physically present. The controls could be taken off of the machine and the arms could be controlled from miles away, keeping humans safe while still providing a high level of articulation and accuracy. Robot used for pick and place work robots do jobs that are difficult, dangerous or dull.…

Have you ever wondered how your car, your computer, or even a can of beans is made? Well, it is all done by a computer-controlled machine that is programmed to move, manipulate objects, and accomplish work while interacting with its environment (Robot). This complicated machine is called a Robot. Robots have been used all over the world to help make dangerous or even long labored jobs a simple task ("Reaching"). They work in mines, industrial factories, consumer goods factories, and many more places. Robots are also used as personal hobbies, as seen in many movies, shows, etc (Schoeffler). Robots have existed for over 80 years and there potential is only growing more and more ("Robot"). Robots are essential to the world we live in today, because of all the different things they are used for a daily basis.…

A single-electron transistor consists of a small conducting island connected to the source and drain leads by tunnel junctions and connected to one or more gates. The nanometre scale conductive island is embedded in an insulating material. Gate signals are capacitive coupled to the island. Two gate signals can be applied to the island out of which one is optional. Here, only one electron can tunnel from source to drain. The processes that take place in this island (nano structure) are coulomb blockade phenomenon and single electron tunnelling.…

Alternating current periodically changes direction, which is why it is called alternating current. Direct current, on the other hand, maintains one direction or polarity of current. Rectification is the process of changing an alternating current into a direct current. Whether we use one direction (half cycle or half wave) or both directions (full cycle or full wave) is determined by the circuitry.…

"In this world, you either have an excuse or a story. I prefer to have a story" is the personal goal I have set for myself. This reinforces my belief in taking responsibility for the decisions of my life. Being the son of a scientist at DRDO, India, I have been fascinated about research and development since my early school days. I understand the importance of an accurate and precise instrument, no matter how small or big it is and also the worthlessness of the same in context of even a single human life. I achieved All India 25th rank in CIPEL Science and Mathematics Olympiad during high school life. I was awarded scholarship from my school for academic excellence and all round performance in co-curricular activities like quizzing, debating, singing et cetera from my 6th grade right up to 10th standard. I did a project on Analysis of various Indian Missiles in 8th Standard which gave me an insight into various propellant systems and thus got me interested into exploring the vast arenas of science and technology. In my senior secondary school at DAV Chandrasekharpur, I participated in a State Level Chemistry Exhibition and won the second prize. We had demonstrated manufacturing procedure of bio-diesel from used vegetable oil in a cost effective way. After passing out with 80% marks I chose Institute of Technical Education and Research, Bhubaneswar to pursue my undergraduate studies. Though I was adept in C++ programming in senior secondary level, I chose Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my branch of studies to gain technical prowess in one of the most budding fields of research and development. I will, any day, rate practical skills far more important than theoretical know-how. Hence, as a fresher I was an active member of the college Robotics club and the Society of Automotive Engineers. As a sophomore, I represented my university at TECHFEST 2010 (IIT Bombay) and was awarded certificate of ‘Engineering Excellence’ in…
